We were looking for somehere for a quick lunch and a coffee after coming off Ben Ledi, and ended up in Deli Ecosse as other cafes on the main drag were full or closed, glad they were. The extrerior look of the place doesn't do the cafe justice.

Inside was very warm and welcoming with a large woodburner to warm us up while we waited for our foor to be freshly prepared. The interior has a rustic relaxed feel to it and is an ideal place to relax over a quick coffee or take you time to enjoy a meal. Breakfasts and soups were very good, as was the homemade cake, the biggest issue was what to go for from the big selection. Coffee was also very good.

There are also a good selction of nice gifts and deli food for sale. If you are in Callander it's worth getting off the main road and making the effort to find Deli Ecosse tucked away in the corner of the square.

I have had one lovely meal in here (soup and a sandwich) but another time I had a breakfast and although very fairly priced, it was quite basic, it would have been lovely if they'd had made a bit more effort with they're full breakfast because I feel like it lets the, otherwise lovely cafe, down a bit! There was one rather short tempered member of staff but the other staff were great!

I regularly go to the Deli for brunch and it never fails to provide a warm homely atmosphere with the wood burning stove, the days papers and amazing food. I love their french toast with bacon and maple syrup or the toasted panninis with inventive toppings, warm hearty soups and hot chocolate. They do the best smoothies for hangovers ever, and a mouth watering selection of home made cakes, Its a cooks paradise with a huge selection of deli goods to spend time choosing while you eat. In the summer you can sit outside and watch the tourists in the square. The Deli is fantastic during the jazz festival with live music, and at Christmas, but I like it best on a cold winters day, magic!

We found this while looking around Callander. A local lady pointed us in the direction of Deli Ecosse saying it was the best place to go for coffee etc as all the locals went. On our first day we enjoyed a ploughmans lunch and coffee. It was excellent. The next day was a bit chilly and wet so went and made use of their wood burning stove. Had a ' wee afternoon tea' it was delish. Enjoyed the heat and the place so much decided to have a couple of vino's while reading the magazines provided. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.
