Really pleased you enjoyed our beer and the selection we have in the shop, which we believe is the largest collection of Scottish Ales under one roof. On price, unfortunately we do not have the buying power of the supermarkets, who can negotiate silly prices and deals with the brewers, often to the brewers detriment, when they cannot supply to regular customers due to penalty clauses if they fail to deliver volume to the supermarkets. Anyway enough of my rant, we offer over 170 Scottish Ales at as competitive a price as we can manage both in the shop and on our website and we hope our selection and variety offsets the price.

The inn is very warm and friendly and the food is excellent. At the side of the main building is a small shop where you can choose from an amzing selection of Scottish beers

We went to The Lade Hill after are recommendation from the Bed and Breakfast that we were staying at in Callander... well worth the walk
A proper pub and they even have a proper coal fire which after a walk on a wet day was a real welcome.
The menu for the food is varied and the portion sizes are extremely generous and they do say that you can ask for a smaller portion... can recommend the Big Yin and the Wee Yin.
Whilst you are there it is well worth you visiting the real ale shop next door as the beers on the pump can be purchased there loved the one called "Lade Out".
This is a lovely place and well worth a visit, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and all the staff are a credit to the owners.

We asked our tour guide to take us to a good restaurant for lunch, one the locals visit. He took us to the Lade Inn. The menu has great offerings, http://www.theladeinn.com/restaurant-menu.html , from traditional Scottish fare to a good “bar hamburger” Nice Scottish beer selection and great service. Since we were in Scotland I just had to try haggis. I had the haggis, neeps and tatties. Trust me on this, haggis is very good and I recommend it, just don’t think about it.

We went to The Lade Hill after visiting the Scottish real ale shop next door, simply because the bar area of the pub allowed us to take our dog in with us. 5 of us ate there and had a variety of meals between us. The food was excellent, perhaps a little pricey but the steak and ale pie I had was cramped full of meat so I cannot grumble. The open fire in the bar area gave the bar a lovely atmosphere as well. Would definitely recommend if you want to sample real pub food and a nice atmosphere and friendly staff
