Terrific setting right on the water with fantastic views and the chance of siting Ospreys!

Food is great, particulalry the soup of the day selection and of course the Cullen Skink! Good choice of mains with Loch Venacher Trout excellent.

Really good atmosphere with warm and friendly staff, this was our 3rd visit and we will be back!

Warm welcome, good food and service. Get a window seat for a view and if it is calm rent a boat for an hour .

Just come back from a really lovely evening out at the harbour cafe. We had driven past this place a few times whilst staying at the tigh mor and didn't realise that it was serving dinner on Friday's and Saturday evenings. We decided to go on the Friday night and we are really glad we did.

The restaurant is very well presented and has a lovely feel to it with amazing views over the loch.

To start we had the sharing platter. The smoked salmon was really really good. After tasting this we realised we were in for a good evening.

I then had the salmon and my partner had the trout. There was nothing left our plates. The food was well portioned and well presented. Great food.

For desert we had the banofee pie and the coffee cake. My girlfriend doesn't really like pudding but there were definitely a few mmms and "this is the best cake ever" that slipped out during this course.

The restaurant was very reasonably priced. I've paid more for food that is half as good and nowhere near as good service before now.

Really a great find and I would recommend it to anyone within a 25 mile radius to visit.

We really enjoyed our evening tonight and would put it up there as one of the nicest things we did whilst in Scotland. Cheers

The view alone makes it worth eating here. Try and secure a table by the huge windows and enjoy the view down Loch Venachar to Ben Venue. The modern restaurant is light and airy and the service was prompt and friendly. The food is enjoyable without being "cordon bleu" - simply cooked (and very tasty) fish and shellfish mainly. We enjoyed Shetland mussels, cullen skink, trout and salmon. No desserts as such but a selection of cakes. NB they are only open for dinner Friday and Saturday, but are open 7 days for lunch.

We had the pleasure of visiting The Harbour Cafe for lunch, back on November 15, 2012 (I'm still catching up on long overdue reviews). We had just arrived from Toronto in the morning and driven out to Brig O' Turk to visit relatives. After settling in, our cousins suggested we head to The Harbour Cafe for lunch. What an antidote to airplane food and travel. Seated next to the toasty fire...much appreciated as we were tired and cold...we enjoyed a lovely meal, which included fish & chips and rissotto, while taking in the fabulous setting and views. The menu was not large but was fresh and I remember there were daily specials available as well...wonderful service...and reasonably priced. The two family members we were visiting are quite senior and don't cook at home any more, so they go out for lunch and dinner every day....The Harbour Cafe is one of a handful of restaurants they frequent regularly...lucky them!!!! This was the very best way to start off our 3 week visit to the UK.
