get the mixed pakora, it was absolutely amazing, the pakora sauce was yellow and it was a wee bit off-putting but it tasted fantastic!

We had a takeaway from The Taj. The food was very good, but unfortunately the packaging was not so good as the bottom of the bag split, spilling curry in the car.

Me and my husband are quite easily pleased when it comes to food but we visited this restaurant last night and were extremely disappointed, to start with the juice was out a bottle which was flat, warm with no ice. The chicken pakora was tasteless the mail meals weren't better they an to have lots of salt for some taste. The garlic nan was like a plain nan the chips weren't cooked properly. The service was not up to much. Wouldn't recommend.

We visited the restaurant for my daughter's birthday. We often have carry out and the food is always excellent and this visit was no exception. The waiter was very attentive, although not to the point of being annoying! The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys tasty, freshly cooked food. And at £5.95 for a three course businessman's lunch, incredible value for money.

We visited one Friday evening. The restaurant was empty, which might have been a clue, and no one else came in while we were there - either to eat or to collect takeaway food. On a Friday night?
The starters (onion bhaji and mushroom pakora) were tasty but I asked for some yoghurt dressing (raita?), which I then found out I had been charged several pounds for on the bill. We both ordered korma as we don't like hot curry but enjoy this gently spiced dish. Bur our kormas were completely tasteless, with no flavour at all. We resorted to adding copious amounts of salt to gee it up a bit. Definitely the worst curry we've ever had. In addition, as the restaurant was empty, the young waiter just hovered around our table waiting for us to finish, which was very unsettling. I definitely would not return.
