Spent one night here whilst walking the Mary Queen of Scots Way. Best Guest House we stayed in. Very friendly, comfortable room, comfy lounge to sit in with tv, games, books, and a wee glass of sherry to finish off the evening! Breakfast was excellent with a large choice of fresh fruit, yoghurt etc plus a variety of cooked items including smoked salmon.

We had an extremely comfortable stay. Mac and Ania were very welcoming and after our journey tea and cakes in the sitting room were just what was needed. Our room was very clean and we both slept well in the comfortable bed. Breakfast the next day was beautifully cooked and presented. Being able to park at the side of the house was appreciated as we have stayed in places previously where parking was difficult. I would definitely recommend it.

Annfield is a very relaxing place... The bed was absolutely amazing and we felt like at home thanks to Mac & Ania's warm welcoming! The breakfast was also very well presented and very nice. There was a very big range of choice for breakfast (you choose from a menu). The use of the garden & rocking chair was appreciated. Great B&B

We spent two nights here in May. Fantastic.
Mac & Ania were so welcoming, what a pity our whole holiday wasn't spent here. Maybe another time.
The double room & Private Bathroom on the top room was of a very high standard.
The bedroom was a very good size & the bed was so comfortable. The view from this room was also amazing.
The Private Bathroom was huge. The shower had a Power Shower.

Mac made us feel so very welcome when we arrived with Coffee & delicious cakes served in the guest living room. What a lovely surprise.

The Breakfast was to die for.
Ania had made 2 lovely fruit Salads. There was Greek yoghurt, home made Muesli & other cereals. Lovely Soda bread & fresh Tea & Coffee & of course the cooked breakfast. Fantastic. What a start to the day.

The was ample parking & free Wi-Fi.

Overall, a lovely house & lovely hosts.
Thank you for making our last two days of our holiday special.

Annfield well deserves its No.1 rating. We stayed one night and were welcomed in by both the owners and shown all the facilities. Smart modern style albeit compact bedroom, complete with sofa, overlooking the pretty rear garden. Comfortable bed. Very elegant large guests' drawing room. Quiet location but only three minute walk to main street and lots of restaurants and shops. Go the other way and you are on a wooded hillside with lots of footpaths for an early morning walk. Off-road parking. Breakfast could not have been better: lots of fruit available, cereal, muesli and yogurt, then excellent cooked breakfast, with wide choice. Owners very friendly and helpful, keen to give a first class service.

We had an excellent stay at Annfield. It's gorgeous and immaculately clean, and Mac and Ania are fantastic hosts. Our room was modern and comfortable, and the breakfast was among the best we had in Scotland. We also enjoyed watching a few episodes of "Game of Thrones" on the DVD player in our room.

In May 2013 my wife and I spent four days in this guest house. For more than 40 years we have made use of B&Bs in various countries, we must have stayed in hundreds. Based upon this experience we can say that "Annfield" belongs to the very best B&Bs that we have ever visited.
