We have now been to this restaurant several times and it just gets better.
The place is small, but welcoming and has a big fire - great for our Scottish weather
On our first vist we had afternoon tea, sandwiches were great, scones and cakes yum
Second visit it was cold and wet. We arrived at the restaurant aroung noon and it was really busy. The waitress gave us a seat on the sofa till a table was free. This was the first time we had the soup - it was fantastic - we have since tried 3 different soups all just as good. Bowls are of a good size and home made bread yum. You can't ever just have soup... has to be soup and a sweet and they are fantastic - home made with a choice of cream, ice cream and custard. Haven't quite worked my way through the sweet menu as yet but working on it.
