Reviewed December 11, 2012

Came here for dinner last saturday and had an amazing time! We had our staff party here and loved everything about it. Real value for money and most importantly coped with our party so well considering there was 25 of us. Can't wait to go back soon!

“birthday meal”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

we ate here for my birthday, table was in the bar as restuarant area was full, we knew this when we booked, so it wasn't a surpirse. Bar was heaving and had to push our way past to get to our table, which was squeezed in the middle of other dinners. Food was just average at best, I ordered the soft shell crab starter, which was overcooked, all i could taste was crunchy batter, my hubbie had soup, which was very sweet, and a massive bowl full! Main course we ordered beef masaman curry rice and singapore noodles, the curry was again too sweet, we mentioned this to the waiter and he said it was beacuse it had coconut milk in..... we eat at loads of thai restuarants and have been to thailland and have never had this curry so sweet. This is not an authentic thai restuarant as no thaI are front of house. The drinks are very expensive £4.30 for a pint of larger, and Noblo wine which is about £6 in the supermarket was £16.95. Service was ok but not excellent. all in all, we would probably had a better meal elsewhere in the area. It was my birthday and we were staying in a hotel nearby and took advice from the receptionist of where to eat locally. I don't think we would go back...

“watch your plate.”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

Lunch meal with a friend ordered the Lunch time special.....first courses great, main courses very poor, on both meals not up to the previous standard. Had a large chip out of the side of my plate, showed the waitress who just found it funny. How she could laugh at this was quite odd to both of us, we could not see the funny side.
The waitress returned to us and stated the manager said the plate was acceptable, again still laughing about it.
If this was part of my crockery it would be in the bin.
Would I go there again......no..... not the place it use to be.

“Amazing Thai food in a great setting”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

Stunning Thai food served in an elegantly casual pub setting, just been refurbished and well worth a re-visit if you haven't been for a while. Great outdoor dining / seating area for all weathers (almost) need a reservation through the weekend as very popular year round. Well worth a visit and having Mr Poons' special...
