Clean and well appointed room, helpful reception staff - overall a good experience. I had booked an evening meal and I feel there needed to be more staff serving on Saturday night as they seemed pretty stressed and kept forgetting things. Other than that the food was good and hot and I was glad that I only had to walk next door to my room. I would go again.

I stayed here for 3 nights and was allocated a room on the top floor.

There were a few downsides to my stay but nothing worth complaining about. Firstly I noticed that the paint on the ceiling by the window was cracked and peeling. Secondly the basin tap had a low flow of hot water and unless it was fully turned to hot, which was too hot, the water being delivered was cold. Finally it seemed to me that the walls were very thin and noise could be heard from the rooms either side.

Breakfast in the adjoining restaurant was very good and value for money.

Very clean hotel and friendly staff. ..Good parking. ..Not a bad location rooms are large enough...I would revisit also next door to the hotel is a resturant not a bad price however a short drive is a sizzler resturant that is very good for value and thought the food was good.

A " difficult" trip, as I was visiting an elderly aunt who'd just suffered a stroke. The reception staff were great... very welcoming and thoughtful. Also very helpful when I had problems with wifi. The rooms need a little " refreshing" in decor, but the bed is comfortable and they are clean. Lighting VERY poor in the bathroom... us girls need a good light over the mirror for makeup and the heated towelk rail not working - brrrrr!. The shower seemed very difficult to work ( I've used this kind before!), so I just gave up in the end- I was tired and, since there's no phone, didn't want to have to get dressed and trip all the way down to reception again- not sure they could have done anything that time of night anyway! The heating controls didn't seem to work in the room and the heated towel rail in the bath room was not working, which made it a little chilly and also a problem to dry towels and " smalls". I've eaten at the restaurant before with family, but this time was a totally different experience: I chose Caesar salad without chicken. All that came was a plate of lettuce, smothered in a very bad "dressing"- no croutons and just lumps opf " processed cheese" - not " slivers" of cheese as promised. Parmesan obviously not used- as it should be in this salad- a lot of money to pay for a load of rabbit food! I felt very ignored as a single traveller and and service was incredibly slow... OK it hadn't been the easiest of days, but looking forward to a good dinner in a pleasant atmosphere afterwards had kept me going... only to have expectations completely dashed. Shame that the restaurant staff let down the efforts of the excellent hotel staff!

An older Premier Inn, but still clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. The staff at check-in were extremely efficient, friendly and helpful. The rooms could do with their heating systems being updated as there was only one small electrical heater on the wall which did not have any temperature control options. When asked, the receptionist provided me with an additional electrical heater as it was quite cold in the room.

The food at this particular PI is at the attached Table-Table restaurant. The breakfast was excellent, but the variety and quality of food for dinner is much less than at other PI restaurants and tasted greasy and cheap.

The rooms have a bath and shower, hairdryer and coffee/tea making facilities. The hotel is a few minutes’ drive from Christchurch train station which has hourly trains to London Euston.

I stayed here in November 2012, as I was working in the area, and had a great stay. Clean, comfortable room, friendly staff, plenty of free parking, great location for town centre, and very nice breakfast at the restaurant next door. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly reception and clean comfortable room. Very happy as usual with premier inn rooms. Some noise from the trains but still had a good nights sleep! Did not eat in the adjoining pub put popped in for a drink and will definitely eat there next time.
