The first impression of the hotel is made by the friendly staff on reception. It did not matter who we saw as all were very welcoming.

The room was fresh, modern and well maintained. It appeared to be very clean. We had asked for a cot to be provided and we were pleased to find a good sized travel cot, very much like the one we own. Our double bed was comfortable. There is a full bathroom with a decent shower over the bath, plenty of hot water, easily controlled. The bathroom is quite small but perfectly adequate. The room had a TV and coffee making facilities, good storage and certainly ours (room 5) had good space.

Although our room faced a busy road (across quite a wide car park) we were not troubled by any road noise at all so the windows are very well sound proofed.

There is plenty of parking.

Next door is an attached restaurant where we had the breakfast. A very good selection is offered and the cooked breakfast was also nicely done. We ate in the restaurant one evening and found the food extremely nice and good value. Staff were friendly and efficient.

We would certainly stay there again on future trips to Christchurch.

We chose this hotel to be near family at Christmas. It was very tidy and clean. The room (double) was a good size with a new tv with freeview. The bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We managed to book for one night on line and got a room for a very bargain price of £19, although we did book some time in advance. The staff were very helpfull, our room was very clean and comfortable. The only complaint we would have is that the pillows were incredibly hard, if we had known we would have brought our own with us.
If you do not intend to go into town for an evening meal I would suggest that the attached pub / diner is excellent value for money with a good variety of food and very good staff

Room Tip: We were on a first floor room overlooking the car park and main road, expected some noise but it was...

The family room was an adequate size with one double bed and one single bed and the usual high standard of cleanliness and comfort I have recently come to expect from Premier Inn. However, this is one of their premises whichi is not air-conditioned and is just way to hot for comfort. A separate fan was provided but proved inadequate at making things remarkably better. The road noise didn't bother us as much as other noisy hotel patrons did! Very helpful staff and great restaurant next door. Good location for Christchurch and on direct bus route for Bournemouth Town Centre.

The location of this hotel is convenient for the town centre and the railway station. However, it's on a really busy road, and the noise is incessant. As the hotel is located just as the road rises over the railway bridge, there's a fair bit of light pollution into the rooms at the front from car headlights. Inside, the walls are paper thin. When people let themselves into their rooms, it sounds as if they are letting themselves into your room which left us on edge each time we heard a key in the lock! All conversations, footsteps and everything else are very public. The room had a very sub-standard bathroom - the smell was certainly stagnant - an aroma of drains perhaps the most accurate way of describing it. The shower was practically unusable as it literally dribbled water out of it. And reports of temperature control are quite accurate - it was far too hot even with the fan that was provided. However, the room was a good size and the bed was really comfortable, so not a bad night's sleep really. The high point of the place is definitely the wonderful reception staff. A lovely greeting at check-in, always a sunny good morning/evening when passing through reception, and equally delightful at check-out. They make the place really friendly. Certainly okay for an overnight stop, but anything longer than that, I wouldn't be so sure. Not up to usual Premier Inn standards.

Ridiculously hot without the heating on and even with a fan blowing, this at the end of October! We couldn’t open the window as it was over our sons bed and we were on the ground floor right next to the cars.
Also, on the first night there was a terrible noise of footfall from the room above with a cracking noise from the ceiling with each footstep. We were kept awake by this until 11.45pm on a Sunday night and then subsequently woken at 2.20am, 3.20am and 6.30am by the same noise, we were relieved when the guest above left at 7.30am.
We were treated on the second night to a never ending rendition of “Somewhere over the rainbow” at half tempo by someone practising the tune on their keyboard. This was faint but definitely audible.

If your idea of a good time is being slowing poached in bed whilst being bombarded with the never ending reminder that you are not alone then this is the place for you.

How can Premier Inn ask in their own questionnaire “are we environmentally aware” with single glazed wooden windows, god only knows what was the source of the heat in this building.

Good points, the room was spotless and well furnished.

As triple rooms aren't an option, two friends shared a twin and I had my own double. The twin room given was on the ground floor facing the front and I was allocated a room on the 2nd floor at the far end of the corridor facing the back. Great to have a quiet location but I was a bit concerned at spending our one night stay in such an isolated position (being a lone female) especially as the door didn't have a deadbolt but just a chain. The welcome pack in the room states they try not to place lone female guests at the end of corridors, which i found amusing but at least I got a peaceful night!

It's a Premier Inn, so I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Large airy room which was spotless. Clean bathroom with good lighting. Anti-bacterial hand wash supplied and a bodywash/shampoo dispenser over the bath - handy for blokes and impromptu stays but us girls need to bring our own! I think the vending machine in Reception sells his n hers emergency wash kits.

The bed was really comfy and it was hard to get up the following morning! Slept through my mobile alarm (no room phone or wake-up calls at the Premier Inn!) and needed my friend to check I was not still comatose!

The restaurant next door offered a great breakfast and excellent service.

Was my first stay at a Premier Inn since the re-branding from its former Travel Inn days and I was really impressed. I just wanted to mention, as other reviewers have, you are much more likely to have a disturbed sleep if your room is at the front or ground floor. My friends were woken in the early hours by noisy younger guests getting in from their Friday nights out. Earplugs should be supplied in these rooms!! But that's the only real negative. The reception staff were welcoming and very friendly. Would definitely stay in a Premier Inn again :-)
