Description: Stewarts are a family-owned chain of three Garden Centres, one in Christchurch, one in Broomhill, near Wimborne and on in Titchfield, near Fareham. All have excellent Coffee Shops with 5 star ratings from the Food Standards Agency. At Stewarts Christchurch and Broomhill are open late on Thursday nights, when we have local musicians entertaining with live music. Our coffee shops close 1 hour before the Garden Centre closes. “Tea for two in a garden centre”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

Many garden centres sell food, but most seem to be overpriced and uninspired. Stewarts is an exception to the rule, with decent food (excellent cakes!) very competitively priced. The "afternoon tea for two" is a particular bargain consisting of a plate of 8 little sandwiches (4 varieties), plus a second plate with two small cakes or similar (recently they were fresh fruit tarts), shortbreads and four scones with jam and clotted cream. You can choose to have tea or coffee (or one of each, as it's for two people) - and all for under a tenner!

Stewarts also do hot food - the quiches looked good and were reasonably priced with the option to add a self service salad plate. And the large cakes/gateaux are also a good deal, with a wide selection of calorie laden cakes!

There's plenty of seating areas, including some outside tables on nice days, and free wi-fi if you are not really into gardening.

Highly recommended!

“Great garden centre”
Reviewed August 9, 2014 via mobile

We've visited Stewart's twice now and on both occasions have been very impressed.
The centre has a wide range of products of good quality for every aspect of the garden.
The cafe/restaurant is superb. The food is of a very high standard and the cakes are out of this world. Will be visiting again soon!

“A good Garden Centre Restaurant”
Reviewed July 24, 2014

Went here with friend for lunch. The garden centre itself is very extensive with more items than the average. The restaurant has a very good choice of hot and cold meals, sandwiches, cakes and deserts. All the staff I met were very polite and the tables were kept clear and clean. There is a small outdoor eating area and as it is in a garden centre there are plenty of beautiful plants to augment the atmosphere. It s a very good alternative to a pub lunch.

“Very busy”
Reviewed July 21, 2014

I made the mistake of going in at 12.30, it was very busy. There was a fairly long que for hot food and some confusion over who went where. I thought cold drinks were expensive. It was quite loud in the dining area and I have hearing issues so think that if I had gone with a friend or colleague, I would have struggled to hear what they were saying. My food was very good though. I will go back as I bout some nice stuff in the shop but I'll probably go later lunch or afternoon next time.
