We live locally, but visited for the first time today, for the Christchurch Food Festival, and enjoyed their excellent raclette over roast potatoes.
This is a very small place, busy, clearly with a regular clientele, but all the staff go out of their way to make all welcome. The lady patron was working the room, in the nicest possible way, when I was there. I would love to be a regular here.
Home cooked food, locally and sustainably sourced, cakes looked delicious and reasonably priced. Home made soup also looked great.
They apparently take their coffee seriously, and would definitely go here rather than a chain.
