Had the most fabulous lunch here with friends and we have been here many times. The food was first class with excellent service. The only downside is the very casual dress code in the bar area. All for being relaxed but bare chested men and women in swimwear is perhaps a little too far. I think this needs to be addressed as it lowers the tone of this upmarket restaurant.

Thank you so much for the great review, its great to see how much you enjoyed the experience with us.

We completely agree with your comments on dress code - we have a smart casual dress code hopefully giving enough scope for everyone to enjoy our restaurant.

In the hot weather we have had occasions where guests especially those on holiday from the nearby hotel haver abused this and it is being addressed.

Kind regards

The food and service are superb, one of the best restaurants in Dorset. Good disabled facilities. Fantastic view to look out onto while you eat.

I was spending a couple of days in Dorset with family and we fancied some seafood for lunch.
We found the Jetty which was busy and asked for a table for 6. They said they could accomodate us but there would be a 20 minute wait before our orders were taken. This was not a problem as we were in no rush.
It was worth the wait. The food was excellent and the service first rate. There was no children's menu but child sized fish and chips was not a problem when we asked.
It was a wonderful location, elegant surroundings and with great sea views.
So if you want great seafood in Dorset the Jetty is worth a visit.

Whilst I was surprised they were pushing vodka on their oyster menu (a well-documented no-no), I have to say that everything else about this restaurant was really excellent. Amazing view; good service, a well put-together and well-priced menu, and a well organised kitchen. I really enjoyed it, and if I were in the area again, I'd happily return.

We were staying at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and had dinner at The Jetty....luckily it was a lovely evening and the view from the terrace is amazing.

We were greeted immediately and asked if we would like drinks outside which we did and perused the menu at leisure. The menus were extensive with loads to tempt you but mostly fish of course though there was vegetarian beef and lamb on the menu. We both found it hard to choose ...but as it was a special occasion we opted for the "Tasting Menu" with wine selected for each course.

Everything that came was absolutely delicious.... we had cheese soufflé followed by asparagus with salmon then scallops with chorizo, halibut with oyster and cavior came next then fillet of beef followed by blue cheese and ear salad and finally a wonderfully light passion fruit souffle we loved it all and having the right wine with each dish made it even better and it was just as well that it wasn't far to stagger to our hotel room!!
