Just tried the 15 mile lunch menu, with a group of colleagues - a great idea, well executed. Local ingredients, innovatively put together and attractively presented. Three courses for £15, or two courses for £10 - with a glass of wine! For a light lunch this was ideal. For those with a bigger appetite then ordering side dishes will be an extra charge.
Can certainly recommend this and I shall be going back.

I took my husband to the Kings Arms Restaurant in Christchurch today for a surprise birthday lunch. When I booked I'd added that it was a special occasion, not expecting anything different to the delicious food and excellent service we normally receive. I was delighted, and my husband totally amazed, when at the end of the meal the young man who'd been serving us brought out a complimentary trio of desserts to celebrate his birthday. We'd like to thank the young man, and the Kings Arms, for the friendly gesture and for giving us a lunch to remember.

Just had the tasting menu, hardly a taster but a complete feast! The cheese soufflé with the smoked haddock twist was the highlight of the menu! The only issue is the room is a little dark but apart from that cant complain. Great food, amazing service, will defiantly be back!

The King’s Arms served food fit for serfs! We ordered the slow braised short beef rib which consisted of fat and more fat. It was inedible and disgusting. The beef was exceptionally poor quality and the accompaniment was a meager portion of potato and parsnip mash. We will not embrace The King’s Arms again. Take a 15 mile detour to avoid this 15 mile menu.
