We stayed at the Rock for just one night on our journey southward. We wish we could have stayed longer, as it is a great B&B! Chris and his good lady made us very welcome; the room was spotless; comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was fresh; filling and served in their wonderful "room with a view!" We wanted to explore a little of the area before we moved on, and the information both in the room and the suggestions from the hosts made this short stay perfect. We would certainly recommend the Rock, and hope that we will have the opportunity to stay there again in the future.

We have just spent 3 nights at the Rock and would definitely go back again. The room was lovely - clean and comfortable. The breakfast set us up for the day and Chris and Lindy were extremely helpful - offering advice on walks and lending us maps to take with us. To top it all, the scenery was spectacular. A great few days!

Room Tip: The studio rooms have a fantastic view over the valley.

We've just spent four lovely days at this B&B with some friends of ours. We stayed in the two "dog free rooms" which were upstairs and right next door to each other.. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts were wonderful, useing lots of local foods. We were lucky enough to see deer roaming late at night right out front of our rooms, An all round lovely place to stay.

Just spent a week at the rock, and found it to be a fantastic place to stay. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable and the breakfast superb! Chris and Lindy are friendly and helpful, and their attention to detail makes this b&b very special. Add to this the best views you can imagine and you have a recipe for a great holiday

Room Tip: The ruardean studio has its own veranda with superb views

I have been staying at the Rock for several years when I've been working in the area, which was every 5 weeks. I've always found Chris and Lindy very welcoming, and easy to get along with. They supply a superb breakfast in the morning, and it's local produce as well. Chris will happily advise you on local attractions and walks that will keep you amused during the day.
Interested in Astronomy? Have a word with Chris, and with luck on a clear night a telescope will appear, and you'll be shown a few of the more familiar sights in the universe.
All in all a wonderful place to stay, even though I no longer work in that area, my wife and my self still visit, and will continue to. Wonderful place. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I selected this b&b for it's top reviews and trip advisor award for excellence. Christ and Lyndy couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating. I hired a studio to accommodate my two young children and I and my parents had a separate studio with stunning views. Both were very comfortable and perfect for us all. The breakfasts were delicious and portions were generous! Christ was particularly helpful with advice for beautiful walks from the door step, in particular the walk to Symmonds Yat rock - breathtaking!

We couldn't fault The Rock and would highly recommend it to families, couples and singles looking for a b&b that ticks all the boxes.

Room Tip: Booking a studio room/s offers flexibility for family bookings and rooms are quite with the end stud...
