“Nice surprise”

We were very pleased to find this lovely updated Travelodge, very handy for an overnight stop on the M5 en route to Devon. Very good welcome from the receptionist. The Inn across the road was great and served good food.

This was a comfortable stay, with a decent pub opposite for good beer, tasty food and free wifi. Perfect for a cheap overnight stop. There is also a new Indian restaurant next door which smelt good but we didn't fancy curry.

This is an extremally clean and fresh smelling hotel . Cheerfull and very helpfull guy call Anthony that happily gave extra milk and coffee .
Located 10 minutes from the nearest pub.
At the end of the day Travel lodges are basic and cheap accomodation so no one should expect a 5 * hotel .
As long as staff are friendly ,the place is clean and I have enough pillows , towles , plug sockets and I'm warm I'm happy .
Yes we could hear a child in the room above us and yes we could hear people outside but what do you expect for a cheap stay .

If you want a low cost good quality room with friendly service this is the place to choose. It's excellent value for money and the staff, especially Klara, make it feel like a home from home. Well worth the money.

There is no disabled bathroom, in the disabled room. I was expected to step in to a bath to take a shower, even though this travelodge has been newly refurbished. So no shower for me.
BUT the room was very quiet and the bed very comfortable
If an able bodied person had no shower or bath in their room, just a basin to wash in, that would be considered unacceptable, so why no walk in shower for the disabled ?!

The rooms are now much more comfortable and well - presented. Just needs a bar. Still good value for money. Nice places to eat nearby especially Mendi Vegetarian Indian Restaurant at Wychbold and Robin Hood pub opposite.
