I went with a local Social History group so different people who all enjoyed the experience.Lots to see and exhibits very good. Helpful staff. Also went round the farm and saw the horses working. All the animals looked in good condition and appeared well cared for.

A fantastic day out full of history. As i live in a workhouse near docking this day out has been very interesting and people who stay with me come home and look at the building differently Very good each time i've gone there.

Visited for Apple Day in October - been several times before but always something to interest us. We love the farm and all the exhibits but there is never time to see everything properly on one visit!

We took our 4yr old here and she loved it (so did we) .. we got to tag along on the end of an organised visit for a while so played at being part of a school class with a teacher from this period .. it was very good. The museum is very interesting but our little one enjoyed the garden and the farm the most. We were there a lot longer then we thought we would be with a 4yr old and pretty much left because it was closing. We had a lovely cuppa and cakes etc in the café before we left. Great place which we will definitely go back to.

There is a lot to see but it is quite pricey if you don't have some sort of membership. The cafe is very nice and there is outdoor seating. The garden next to the farmhouse is great for children to identify lots of fruit and veg! Across the road is a farm.
