Really loved this restaurant when i visited for my anniversary, but visited again for my birthday in June and a family lunch in July and was sorely dissapointed.

On both occaisions, service was slow, the waitresses charmless and the food menu had not changed at all (at least introduce some decent specials - please). The restaurant was also pretty empty on both times and sadly i can understand why.

I'm not sure we will be coming back when Egham has so much more on offer.

We went for lunch today, lovely smiley staff. Olympics on in the background giving the restaurant a nice feel. The food was flavoursome and well presented. I enjoyed our visit and will be back and recommending this place to our friends.

Over the years we have used this place when it was Banks and now Hugos for breakfast on occasion. The last few times it has got worse and worse for food and service.
Yesterday breakfast arrived cold with a hair in the food. Out of 3 waitresses only one was remotely interested and the place was empty. I would never recommend the restaurant, nor wish to go back.
Apart from poor food and service the redesign inside is cheap and tacky and does nothing for what actually is an interesting building.
The place needs to close and a new fresh owner should take it over. The current owner is clearly not up to the job anymore.

I am a regular customer and Hugos is a great choice. The place has a nice appeal that can attract different types of customers. Menu is updated regularly and offers great choice to suit a variety of budgets. Also the owners are constantly investing in the place.

We were back at Hugo's last night and it was an excellent night out. Brilliant atmosphere, great live music courtesy of Lewis Clay, yummy food and dangerous strawberry belinis. Fun Friday nights are back in Egham and I can't recommend it highly enough.
