My mother and I stayed at Great Fosters for a couple of days as we were visiting Windsor. The charm and wow factor hits you the minute you duck your head and walk through the thick oak door that transports you into centuries passed. The staff were superb, making you feel welcomed and comfortable. The large log fires in the Ann Boleyn room and wonderful tithe barn where we had breakfast and dinner were a welcome sight in the cold weather.
We booked the hotel with a Travelzoo deal, which included dinner and cream tea. The hotel is pricey, but you certainly get what you pay for. We had a standard room, which although small, was beautifully laid out and comfortable, with lovely furnishings. It was simply wonderful to be surrounded by such elegance, comfort, excellent service and history.More
