This is a place of history. Bring a lunch and sit in the yard to eat and watch the river flow by. KFC just across the road, park right there also for the kids to play and you can watch the boats on the river in front of castle.

If you visit Enniskillen then I would recommend Enniskillen Castle. The displays regarding local military history throughout the ages was quite interesting and the highlight of the castle. The entrance fees were reasonable and the staff was very friendly.

Very informative museum and a worthwhile visit. Lots of information on Irish regiments some now defunct or amalgamated with others and some still serving.
Friendly staff and helpful providing information.

Of course, it happened to be pouring rain when we were there, but the castle was gorgeous, and the shopping around town was lovely as well.

In Enniskillen, this castle provide some good first hand historical value of the town and its significance. If you are in Ireland and travelling Belfast - Dublin road you can plan to Enniskillen to visit this small quick to see castle.
