Spent 3 nights at this hotel, room was average but ok, no lift so had to carry case up 2 fights of stairs although we were asked if we needed help with cases and declined. Reception staff were welcoming but found service in grill bar and at breakfast to be slow. On our third night we were put into a corner as there were no available tables and were forgot about for 30 minutes until Katrianna came to our rescue and got us our food and drink. Food menu in the grill bar is basic and expensive. A hotel in a good location for local attractions.

Dear " Amanda s"
Thank you for reviewing your 3 night stay with us. We do actually have a guest lift and staff are always on hand to assist with luggage but as you said, you opted to decline this service. Your comments re service in the grill bar are noted and have been passed to the head of department. Thank you once again for your feedback, regards, Leigh Watson, HR manager.

We stayed here last week for 1night to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. We booked 1night, dinner, bed and breakfast with a lake view, we arrived early to have lunch and spa treatments, our room was ready for us which was an unexpected bonus. On arriving to our room we found that we had been upgraded to a suite!! What can I say.....it was amazing! A separate living and bedroom with a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. The view from the windows was beautiful looking out onto the lough. The spa was excellent and the staff very professional and friendly. All the staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful, I must make a special mention of Jane, who is new to the hotel, she served us at lunchtime and in the evening before dinner, was always smiling and friendly. We were booked for dinner in the silks restaurant, there was a wedding on so the tables were set up to the back of the bar looking out onto the lough, this was very pleasant and meant we could listen to the young girl play the piano - who was excellent. The food in the evening was beautiful, we are unable to fault any part of our stay here and would recommend it to all our friends. This was a wonderful way to spend our first anniversary and would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Beckett suite, corner room looking onto lough.

Not a bad hotel, but if they want to claim 4* status, they need to up their game a wee bit.
The outdoor hottub is widely advertised but had 'no hot water' on the first morning of our stay - likewise the jacuzzi wasn't working.
The best that could be said about the breakfast is 'mediocre'.
However the room was very good - excellent bathroom and nice toiletries. The staff were also pleasant and professional.
Overall, providing we could get a 'deal' we'd be happy to go back.

Dear "Connie C"
Thank you for your feedback on your stay and your comments will be passed on accordingly. The hot-tub and Jacuzzi are regularly serviced and it takes a while for the heat to come back up after this. We aim to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout our pool/ wet areas. There is usually a deal available via the website or speaking directly with our reservation team. We look forward to seeing you again shortly, regards, Leigh Watson, HR manager.

Dear "Irene M"
I will start by apologising to you as I did not respond to your very kind and considerate review: a complete oversight on my part and only brought to my attention by my GM. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and found our facilities clean, our staff helpful and our food very good. We are continuing, where space allows, to put walk-in showers into our en suite bathrooms as we refit them; this seems to be appreciated by our residents. Thank you once again for your review and recommendation and we hope you continue to visit with us, kindest regards, Leigh Watson, HR Watson.

My husband took me to The Killyhevlin for my Birthday on 28th and 29th April 2013.
The girl on the reception was very friendly and even though we arrived a bit early, she had a room for us within 5 mins.
Our room was very spacious with a double and single bed and the bathroom was really lovely and sparkling clean.
We had a 4 course meal in Silks restaurant on the first night and the staff were very attentive and lovely. The food was delicious.
The next morning the hot water was off as there was something wrong with the boiler and i had to have a cold shower which wasn't the best but they had it fixed as soon as possible.
Our breakfast was beautiful and the girls brought us coffee and toast as soon as we sat down.
The second night we had a meal in the bar and had a table beside the window which overlooks the water. The bar food was very good too.
I would recommend this hotel for the friendly staff and the position it is in with the water view

Room Tip: Room 216 has no view

Dear "jennycraig25"
Thank you for taking time to write a review of your two night stay with us in April. Good to read you enjoyed the food, service and your accommodation. Sometimes maintenance issues do arise and there is nobody to blame except machinery/ equipment which as everyone knows, can have a mind of its own and cease co-operating at the most inconvenient time. We do have in-house maintenance people and try to solve issues as soon as possible. Glad this didn't put you off recommending us and we look forward to having you stay again soon. Kind regards, Leigh Watson, HR manager.

I stayed at the Killyhevlin Hotel for one night on Thursday 25th April 2013. This lovely four star hotel is set in a most beautiful setting overlooking Lough Erne and is a well equiped and comfortable place to stay for a relaxing trip. On arrival the very welcoming reception staff were very friendly and I was quickly checked in. The room was lovely , well equiped and very comfortable. In the evening I had a very good meal in the restaurant and the food was very nice. All in all I had an enjoyable evening with a few drinks after my meal in the bar. The staff I encountered were all very friendly and added to the overall experience.
The next morning at breakfast however was a very different experience. I was served bacon eggs etc by a member of staff who appeared to be there to make sure that not too much food was eaten. I asked for a slice of bacon and was given a part of a slice. I had ask for an extra sausage etc. The overall experience was that I felt like a beggar. This lady is not needed in this position as the only possible reason for her being there was to oversee the portion control. I went and sat to eat my meagre breakfast and was very angry at how I had been treated. This experience ruined what should have been a good trip. On checking out next morning the reception staff once again saved the day as the young lady on reception is just so customer friendly and pleasant. However,I would not choose to stay at the Killyhevlin Hotel again.

Dear "stephen204"
Thank you very much for taking the time to review your stay with us during April. Apologies for the misunderstanding at breakfast time and your comments are taken seriously. We pride ourselves on excellent service as you have noted. People usually comment on how they manage to over indulge at breakfast by the time they try a little of everything on the cold buffet followed by the hot. However, we do hope you will visit us again, kind regards, Leigh Watson, HR Manager.

Had a most enjoyable stay with my wife. We were greeted by the staff as we entered the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly. Our room was upgraded so we had a great view overlooking the lake. We settled in the lounge for a relaxing afternoon and were treated to tea and shortbread and the company of the manager who chatted with us for at least an hour. That evening, not being hungry, we thought a starter would be enough. It was so tasty we ordered a second starter and enjoyed that too. We slept well that night. The next morning after a good filling breakfast, we spent the day driving around the county. We had dinner the second night, and surprise, surprise, we were presented with a bottle of wine of our choice. The meal was excellent. To the management can I now say thank you for a most enjoyable stay. We will be back.
