My husband and I have stayed here a couple of times and the place just gets better and better! This time however we decided to stay in the chalets as they are pet friendly.

I'm not sure who enjoyed it more? Us or the dog! It was absolutely fantastic! Weather was grim as usual but the place was awesome! It was fantastic. I stupidly brought a hot water bottle with me because i thought the cabins would be freezin and it was quite the opposite with the heat hitting you as soon as you walk in! bliss!! The pup had a blast chasing the ducks and jumpin into the lake! ha ha! Cannot wait for us to get booking it again! Fingers crossed next month! Love love love it!!!

Room Tip: ask for lakeview rooms at the hotel. Some have balconies which would be lovely in the summer or boo...

Dear michellex058
Thank you so much: its great you found the chalets so comfortable and warm. They are excellent for staying over with a family group and with pets. Even at this time of year the views are out of this world and the ducks are so nosey and bossy as they come right up to the chalets - I don't imagine the swan is just as friendly but he/she still comes in close! I bet your pup had a great time. We look forward to you returning on many occasions and thank you for the recommendation. kind regards, Leigh Watson, HR manager.

A really nice and pleasant hotel which was situated in a lovely area. My room was clean, tidy, quiet, and well presented. The staff were exceptionally polite and welcoming; nothing was too much trouble for them and they are a credit to the hotel.

My evening meal was delicious and well priced. Breakfast was equally superb.

Room Tip: I had a ground floor room. Very quiet.

We attended a family wedding on Sept 15th.On arrival the receptionist noticed I was on crutches and immediately offered to change our bedroom to the ground floor, which I was extremely grateful for.All day Sat the staff were more than helpful, opening doors, asking if I was alright, offering to carry my drink down to our table, they just couldnt have done enough for me.As for the food provided at the wedding it was 1st class. It was a little slow getting started with the soup but after that everything ran smoothly, the plates were warm and the food piping hot, again the staff were very pleasant and offered more of everything to eat.The buffet was also very very tasty.well filled sandwiches, mini quiche, sausages, cake etc.Again the staff offered to get me a seat and carry my plate over for me.After a pleasant nights sleep in a comfy bed we made our way to the breakfast bar, once again very pleasant staff, warm plates, great selection of good quality food.WE WILL DEFINATELY GO BACK TO THE KILLYHEVLIN HOTEL.

My husband got a voucher for the Killyhevlin for his birthday so we thought we'd take ourselves away for a night and take advantage of the sleepy Sunday offer. We decided to take ourselves out for dinner into Enniskillen and had been told of a restaurant by some friends and when we asked Martha on reception about the place she was very friendly and helpful and told us what the restaurant was like and proceeded, with our agreement, to book a table for us then a taxi as well. She couldn't have been more helpful and made us feel more welcome.

After our dinner we decided to come back to the hotel and sample some of the cocktails on offer in the bar. The barmaid was very good and made great cocktails from the list which I understand she hadnt really done before but were very enjoyable. Although the bar seemed quite full it wasn't crammed and it had a great atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and seemed happy to help all guests with their queries and requests.

Our room wasnt a lakeview room but it was just above the hot tub and had some views of the lake, it was a great size and had a separate shower and bath which is always a plus in my eyes. The room was comfy and clean and we were given a single and a double bed. The only niggle we would have was that the bed was a little hard which made it quite difficult for us to sleep on.

The breakfast the next morning was great, it was a buffet breakfast but all the food was piping hot and very tasty, although there was a queue the staff seemed to be managing it quite well and it didnt feel like we were waiting that long.

One thing me and my husband were very happy about...free wifi!

All in all a great stay and I can't wait to come back again.

Room Tip: Although we didnt have it this time we have had a lakeview room. I think it's £15 extra a night...

Dear heeelllooo
Thank you so much for such a kind review of your stay on the occasion of your husband's birthday - and a very nice gift voucher to receive. Its so nice to read that everything went well from your room to your meal in town followed by in-house cocktails. Its a good tip to recommend booking an upgrade for a guaranteed lakeview as there are some fabulous sunsets this time of year. We look forward to your return visit - maybe there'll be more gift vouchers this year - how about one for a spa treatment? Many regards, Leigh Watson, HR manager.

My husband I I dropped in here on our trip around Enniskellen today. Ummm. From the outside a walk and a walk around the outside the hotel is lovely and is certainly somewhere to escape for a lovely weekend away by the lakes. The staff on reception are fantastic and exceptionally welcoming and homely. We just popped in as we where driving by and would have expected a hotel of this standard to provide such great service which is what we got. We cannot fault anyone we met in the hotel and a lot of other hotels could learn a lot from this place. We would mention the staff but no name badge made it very difficult.

We had a bot to eat in the bar and the menu looked great and is not expensive. The coffee arrived and was beautiful and presented well. We just ordered a few sandwiches and some soup. The soup was standard. And as for the sandwich how can a four star hotel put out a chicken snadwich whith chewy chicken in it? Would we go back? Yes. But we would probably book the restaurant and see if the main menus are better than what you get if you just call in.

Haviong said that the staff are great and make for a truely welcoming experience

Room Tip: Do not just call in make sure you book

Thank you for taking time to review your visit to the Killyhevlin. Your kind words are much appreciated and your observations will be taken on board. If we could nail name badges onto staff we would! Stayed here for 2 nights with my boyfriend and we found the hotel lovely, it was very clean and they have very friendly staff. The pool/sauna/steamroom and outdoor hottub is very good and relaxing. Lockers can be rented for 10p which is good. When we checked in they gave us a suite which we were delighted with. It looked out onto the lake, had a massive bath, seperate shower and his and hers sinks. The room was very clean and the maids done them every day. Breakfast was very nice. We had a meal included in our midweek break offer which was in the restaurant, it was just ok. Very limited menu and abit old fashioned. The location on the lough is excellent but enniskillen town is quite boring for younger people. There are alot of tourist attractions but just not for the younger generation. Would definatley return to the hotel.

Dear irishblondie20
Thank you for your kind review of your recent stay at our hotel with your boyfriend. Its so good to read you enjoyed all the hotel facilities and were delighted to have been allocated one our suites. The views are fantastic - always something to look out at from wildlife to sunsets. Our set dinner menu has a minimum of five starters and five main courses, while the a la carte offers a choice of eight starters and main courses. Chef often offers additional "specials" when he sources something not currently on the menu. We also have a Grill Menu for casual dining and a snack menu which operates all day - plenty of variety for the majority of our guests. The historical town of Enniskillen has a lot of things going on and things to do and a great source of information is our local Visitors Centre. We have the Ernside shopping centre, Ardowen theatre, cinema, art exhibitions in a range of galleries, walking tours, cookery schools all in the town centre and a National Trust prpoerty (Castlecoole) on the way in. We have plenty of pubs, pub/restaurants and restaurants offering good freshly cooked food, extensive wines, traditional and "uptodate" music, we've even got a couple of night clubs if you fancy a dance! Maybe the next time you visit you'll have time to check out the "What's on in fermanagh" guide. Thank you once again for your kind words and we look forward to you returning, regards, Leigh Watson, HR manager.
