We arrived mid-evening in search of a meal and drink but the place was full due to its popularity. The staff were really helpful in finding us a table as soon as one became available and we were glad that we'd waited because the meals were delicious. The service was prompt and attentive.
Despite the place being so busy we were made to feel that our custom was valued. Well worth a return visit.

Dig into the tapas menu you will not be disappointed, we visit each time we come down to Cornwall and its always great. Looking out on the river you just can not fault brilliant value for money food for four a couple of beers and a bottle of wine, absolutely stuffed (believe me it so good you cant stop), for 60 quid. In comparison to The Old Quay House where a similar meal was 170 quid and was no where near as good. Bravo chaps great food good value make a point of dropping in.

Looking on TA for a place to eat in Fowey produced some mixed reviews of a lot of places, all we wanted was good pub food for some hungry sailors. The King of Prussia had some good reviews , so we booked via email requesting a window seat... and after a very wet sail along the coast, it was great to find that was exactly what we got. It's located on the quay where the water taxi drops you off, all of 50 paces to the front door. As we entered we found a bussing pub with a mixture of tourists and locals. Our table in the window overlooking the river and quay was all ready for us and the friendly barman served up some well kept ales. The waitress could have smiled a bit more... but that's the only criticism as the food (mixed platted and Surf and turf all round) was well cooked and presented, with timings just right... not rushed and not kicking our heels. Would definitely use again

We ate here for the first time of many visits to fowey. I enjoyed surf and turf, which was with a rump steak which I'm always cautious of. Steak and prawns were great, chips were ok. My partner had chilli and rice and enjoyed it. The ale wasn't very well kept but my wine was perfectly fine!! Overall a positive experience and would return.
