On a travel zoo offer and although Bodinnick is a two minute ferry ride away from Fowey it does make you feel like you are isolated in the evening when the ferries have stopped. This is a compliment not a criticism as it leaves you to enjoy friendly and excellent service (we had help to shift or bags from car without asking) and whilst the set menu is not extensive I defy anyone not to be delighted with whatever they order. Moules starter and pork main course outstanding (a French owner, I believe) and the same lady who helped us with bags was serving food to the same standard. The view from room 8 was fantastic, excellent breakfast and if it were not for some plumbing issues in the room it would have been perfect.

Parking was fine but it would be remiss not to say that I assume visiting in the high season might be more challenging.

Thank you to the Old Ferry Inn for an outstanding stay.

Room Tip: Any room facing Fowey.

What a great find. The food was really very good, hot, plenty of it as well.cosy, friendly and a roaring fire was just what we wanted. The bedrooms were comfortable with the best views over the estuary. Our dog was made verywelcome too which mace us feel comfortable. Great position for fowey with a lovely trip on the ferry.

Stayed here for 2 nights booked last minute and what a great choice. All the staff were very friendly , the food was excellent with lots of choice. Had a fantastic room overlooking the estuary , and enjoyed watching the bodinnick ferry going back and forth to fowey. Looking forward to going back again.

lovely cosy traditional inn, used a travelzoo voucher so excellent value. Very attentive staff, great woodburner in the bar, fabulous views from the restaurant and our room. Only downside is the ferry stops running at 7pm so couldn't eat in the evening in fowey. Saying that the food choices and standard were very good, especially the mussels. Will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: room6 &7 fab views and very comfortable

Celebrated my wife's birthday here with a long weekend. The Saturday, her birthday, was a fabulous sunny day and we went on a gentle walk round the Pont Pill estuary to Polruan and got the ferry across to Fowey before returning to the Inn. I had mentioned to Pete in the bar the evening before that Carole was vegetarian and didn't often get a lot of choice on restaurant menus. That evening she was presented with a printed vegetarian "specials" menu.
Our three evening meals, two in the bar and one in the restaurant were excellent, and special thanks to the gentleman eating in the bar who recommended the Hall Walk.
Our room was spotless and had marvelous views over the river, although the bathroom was a bit dated. An excellent breakfast was served in the restaurant, again with views over the river. The photos on the web sites we saw did not do justice to this lovely restaurant.
Many thanks to all the staff and the chef. We had a wonderfull weekend.

Booked the inn by chance and was not disappointed. Cosy accommodation in well appointed rooms with a fantastic river view. Attentive food and beverage service with honest food and value for money. The chowder alone is worth a return trip. Friendly and helpful staff. Pete ( bar, waiter and jack of all trades and full of one liners) even carried our 4 heavy bags up 3 steep flights of stairs! Any complaints in other reviews about parking certainly don't take into account this unique location! Well done team

Booked up for a 3 night stay just before Christmas. What a lovely inn / pub. We chose this accommodation because it was a pub and so we didn't have to venture out for an evening meal if we didn't want to. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.
The rooms were very adequate and the food was absolutely superb.
There wasn't much to do close by but we had the car so it wasn't too much of a problem.
It was very reasonably priced so no complaints whatsoever.
We are even planning to book again.
