Have just returned from a fabulous 3 days at the Fowey Hotel. We went for my mum's 80th birthday and she had a lovely time. The staff were so friendly!! We both had sea view rooms and they were wonderful, (we had 309 and 208). We didn't get to enjoy the food in the main restaurant but had lovely meals in the bar. We prebooked the car parking so that was not a problem, although after all the reviews I had read I was expecting it to be a lot smaller than it actually was.

Another plus point for us was that they also made our pet labrador very welcome, we will definitelty be returning. Well done Fowey Hotel. (The Weltons from Kent)

Dear Alison W

Thank you for your kind review of The Fowey. To hear that you and your lovely Labrador enjoyed your stay with us is wonderful to hear.

Our Car Park is small, but is able to accommodate 23 cars (we have 37 bedrooms). Fowey is a small Town that has grown in popularity over the past years and with our popularity has come the increase in cars. In the winter months there are usually spaces available. In the Summer months the hotel gets very busy and booking a space is essential. However, we have two Town car parks nearby and we have drop off points at reception, so we are always there to help !

On behalf of the staff and myself thank you again for your kind review. We hope to welcome you back to The Fowey in the near future.

Booked last minute,my husband and i visited Fowey in october and wanted to come back and stay. I chose this hotel, due to other reviews and I liked the style of it. The hotel is an old victorian property perched on the side of the river, its beautiful inside full of character and the staff were some of the most helpful ive come across in a hotel, they are a credit to the company. We booked a standard room,it had a king sized bed , great size, lovely bathroom with a great shower complete with cute toiletries and lovely thick white towels. We had a side view which included the river and we were really pleased with it. The breakfast was lovely with a good choice and very polite staff to serve you, the views from all the communal rooms are fantastic. The only issue i could find would be the parking if you don't manage to prebook, but this is a a small cornish village and parking is at a premium. Small price to pay for an exceptional hotel and exceptional staff. Will return with out a shadow of a doubt 10 out of 10

Comfortable hotel with outstanding views of the Fowey River estuary has welcoming staff and excellent food which made our stay here for the New Year celebration a most enjoyable experience. Our standard room was of a generous size, clean and comfortable. The New Year's Eve celebrations were well managed and enjoyed by all of the guests that we managed to chat to. Thank you for a memorable stay.

We spent a very enjoyable 3 days at the Hotel over Christmas. All the staff are very friendly welcoming and extremely helpful. The menus over the holiday were fantastic with an amazing choice of food and superb vegetarian menu. The chefs are superb. The wines were well priced and an excellent selection. There was a programme of events to keep us occupied and a visit to Eden Centre on Boxing Day with the expert guide David. We have recommended this hotel previously to friends and our experience over the holiday was so memorable and we will be booking again for another visit. We love Fowey and the hotel and can't wait to return.

Stayed at the Hotel over the Christmas period and had a fabulous time. The staff are so friendly and the food first class. Stayed at this Hotel many times in the past but this was the first Christmas away from home and something we will do again. Propose booking again for next year. Always have a sea facing room and the views are stunning. Well done Fowey Hotel, two very satisfied customers.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view, well worth the extra
