“A hotel with views to die for”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

Stayed here last weekend and the hotel was fabulous, with views to die for over the river Fowey, Staff very helpful and friendly, the food was excellent, the room was lovely. It easy walk to the town centre through the hotel grounds. I would recommend you book your parking with the hotel when booking your stay.

This was the second time I've stayed here. It is the most fabulous relaxing hotel with views to die for. The staff are happy, friendly and most helpful. I have never encountered any problem there whatsoever. I almost hesitate to rate it so highly as I don't think I want everyone to know it exits but that would be very mean!
The hotel is comfortable and the food excellent.
Would highly recommend and will visit again.

Had a splendid 2 day break in this comfortable Hotel. Smart casual not too posh. The food is excellent,English with local fish. The staff are all smiling and attentive but not intrusive, perfect. Fantastic views from the sea side rooms and within walking distance of the town center. There is an original lift with sliding doors complete with brass fittings.

We have just returned from a very relaxing break at The Fowey Hotel. We found all the staff very friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. All aspects of the hotel from when we first entered the reception, to our bedroom ,to the dining room were or the highest standerd. The only comment i can make concerning the food is Exellent really top quality food. The only down side of our stay is the enterance by car to the carpark,The road is of a very poor standerd.I feel the hotel sign at the road enterance leading to the hotel reception and carpark needs to be made bigger.Would i return to the FOWEY HOTEL a very big YES.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view, the view are really special.

We had a fantastic two night D,B&B stay at The Fowey Hotel. We decided to upgrade to a sea view room which was well worth it. Fowey is a very pretty Cornish town and the views from our room were amazing. The room itself was large, clean and very comfortable with jacuzzi bath. The hotel staff were extremely professional, helpful and clearly understand the true meaning of customer service. The food was excellent. We will definitely return.

What a fantastic hotel this is! A great little find in Fowey, which is a wonderful old fashioned Cornwall town
Booked a 4 night stay here as a surprise for my hubby's birthday. They impressed me from the booking to the check out. Hannah in reservations worked with me to ensure hubby knew nothing of destination, even sending email to inform me of work being done rather than telephoning and leaving a message. She also arranged a birthday cake to be sent from local bakery decorated with his name etc. medium size - very reasonable £15
The staff at hotel were wonderful - we were given a sea view room, with a fantastic view of estuary and town across the other side, Polruan. Ferries are available to take you across. Which we did, and went on the Hall walk, quite hard going in places but so worth it!
Room was large and comfortable with a jaccuzzi bath - so welcome after a long hike! Good bed, great nights sleep, and fantastic coffee in room! What more do you need!
Great food in restaurant - that's what - and it was amazing!!
Anyone who reads my posts will know I'm fussy. I only eat fish and veg no meat, and it's hard sometimes to get a good fish meal. But the chef at The Fowey is fabulous!
Every night we ate elegant, wonderful meals. Beautifully and thoughtfully arranged so that the flavours complimented each other perfectly. Hubby had the steak on a couple of nights and said it was one of the best he had eaten! Word of warning, they present The Most delectable breads to your table, take care you don't eat so much you can't eat desert!!!
Highly recommend the chocolate fondant with creme anglaise and the marmalade steamed pudding. The ice cream ( 3 scoops) leaves you wishing it was 4!
I could rave on for ever!! I think you get the food is to die for!! Consistently great!!
So recommend this hotel, the staff took such great care of us, I can't fault anything !

Room Tip: We were 103. Great view!!
