We were really impressed with Helen House, which is particularly spacious, well appointed and clean throughout. One of the best houses we've stayed in and we've stayed in many.

Set on six half floors, including the garage, each flight of stairs is only really a half flight so not too much. The bathrooms are modern and clean with plenty of hot water. The kitchen/diner at the top of the house is huge, good for both cooking or enjoying a takeaway. eg the local pub - the Safe Harbour near the top of the hill - does fish and chips to takeaway and also has a good menu and a quiz night. There are lots more eating/drinking places of course down the hill in the centre of Fowey.

The front of the house has tremendous views, with balconies to both bedrooms and the spacious sitting room. These front bedrooms are almost equally sized, the main difference being that one has the wardrobe and bathroom inside its door and the other has these on its landing. The back bedroom is a little smaller but still comfortable.
The garage and parking place are very useful (we took two SUVs).

One point to note is that the hill down to Fowey is very steep so this house would not suit those of limited mobility. The shortest route also has a long flight of steps but these can be easily bypassed by sticking to the road.

Helen House is a very spacious property with the most wonderful views. It is in a great location near lovely pubs and fantastic restaurants. My husband and two young daughters all enjoyed ourselves so much and were sad to leave.

A town house with amazing views. Helen House is a very comfortable, home from home. There is parking which is a plus in Fowey and a great base to explore the area. There are plenty of good restaurants to visit but the kitchen is really well equipped should you want to stay in. Excellent customer service from George who kept me fully informed, responding to any enquiry within a few hours. As the path down to Fowey harbor is quite steep it may not be suitable for those with poor mobility although there is a little bus that runs until 6 o'clock every 15 minutes or so . I would highly recommend

Helen House is perfect in every way. There was plenty of space and an excellent and well equipped, labour saving kitchen. Luxurious bathrooms and a nautical theme throughout was much admired! Although spotlessly clean and tidy, there was a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The views of the estuary and beyond were beautiful - morning, noon and evening.
The owner was easily contacted at any time and responded immediately.
None of us wanted to leave to come home and hope to return to this superb property and location. There is something for everyone. It needs to be seen to be believed!
