This pub is in Fowey (rather than Polruan as it appears on Trip Advisor). It is right on the Town Quay and difficult to imagine a more central location in Fowey. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in room 4 on the top floor, with really good views. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Breakfasts were good, with more views from the bay window tables. We didn't eat here in the evening on this occasion but have done so on a previous visit and enjoyed it. No parking outside the hotel, but there is space to drop off and pick up right in front of the hotel. Plenty of steps up both inside and out, so be prepared for this. Thought there might be some noise at night, given the location on the Town Quay, but was quiet both nights, and we slept well. Would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Room 4 for good views and spacious accommodation. Two flights of stairs up.

Staff were young and very helpful always wanting to help , excellent service, fantastic location with amazing pub food. The rooms are very nicely decorated and all have views over the quay. Very clean and even a Hygiene seal on the toilet.
We were not rushed to check-out , that was nice.................

We looked for somewhere for lunch, not pasties and takeaway with the seagulls circling overhard! This restaurant has a lovely view over the river, we enjoyed tuna ciabattas with salad, a lovely coffee and a good atmosphere.

Room Tip: We didnt stay as only wanted lunch but it looks very good

This is my second visit to this pub with rooms above and I would happily go back again. The rooms are very nicely decorated and all have views over the quay and the River Fowey. There is an extensive range of coffees/teas/hot chocolates with a kettle plus shortbread and chocolates. There are toileteries, not only like shower gel and shampoo, but a shaving kit and a toothbrush - and my favourite item, a hot water bottle. That's a first in any hotel or B and B I've visited and much appreciated in the UK climate!
The breakfast (served in the pub) is huge and can keep you going all day long.
For single travellers (or those who prefer not to share), the smaller double rooms can be taken at a reduced rate, if they are not too busy - a real bonus.

Room Tip: All rooms have the same wonderful views. The stairs up are quite steep, so ask for the first floor if you have difficulty with climbing them.
