Description: We are a modern European restaurant with a French twist combined with the best in Cornish hospitality nestling right in the heart of the beautiful port of Fowey. We pride ourselves on sourcing the freshest, local produce available and producing dishes of the highest quality. We have a lunch menu from 12 - 6 every day and then a more extensive and creative Evening Menu. Every Sunday we produce our Sunday Roast with a selection of meats using the same attention to detail we use on the rest of our menu to produce a roast Mother would be proud of! Top it off with our superb selection of wines and spirits, Cornish beer and lager, and you have the perfect combination

We dined here by chance on Friday night. The food was excellent and great value, the deserts especially the sorbet were to die for. We were so impressed we booked again for the Saturday, once again we were to disappointed. To sum up excellent food, excellent staff.

We visited with friends on a Saturday evening and all of us had the £25 surprise menu. This was six courses. We were allowed to say if we really disliked a particular food eg offal/fish. The courses we had included an artichoke and mushroom risotto, red mullet with a scallop tagine, slow roasted lamb, yarg with a chilli dip and, to finish, a lemon posset. All this for £25 - remarkable.

Good cooking, lively atmosphere and the company of friends. An excellent way to spend a Saturday evening.

Dined here one winter lunch time and it was busy! I had the Mystery Menu and it was well worth the £25 I spent. It was of quality ingredients and melted in my mouth yummyness. It was a sensation to the palette from piegon, fish, duck, cheese and chocolate cake! Will surely be coming back. The only downside is that the wait in between courses is a bit long and we were hungry!

I gave this place a test run by having langoustine soup the day before and it was fantastic, great music and atmosphere. For our evening We chose the mystery menu for £25 per person. That made it only a couple of pounds more than two courses from the other menu. The first mystery was a shot glass of butternut squash soup with ginger foam, absolutely delicious. Then we had pigeon breast (overcooked and a little chewy) on pearl barley with beetroot. Next was Red mullet on chick peas olives yoghurt and coriander... Delicious. Then came Duck confit on red cabbage with watercress and carrots. A piece of Cornish cheese on bread and finally half a chocolate tart with strawberry sorbet (heavenly) a wonderful finish. These were all micro courses but we were totally satisfied and it was really nice to have the mystery. The couple next to us had the regular menu and I will try that next time for sure. Yes, there will be a next time, I preferred lunchtime I think but both meals were lovely, just that after lunch you can shop til you drop and nowhere better for that than Fowey! :)
