“convienient location”

nice big clean room and friendly staff. No noise during the nigh along the corridors. Very close to the A1, Newcastle centre and the Metro Centre. When I say close, it is a car drive or taxi to both locations. There is nothing around the hotel apart from the A1!
The tybrurns restaurant attached is buffett style for evening meals. Big selection of salads, chinese, burgers, roasts and puddings. All self-service and eat as much as you like.
The food was well cooked but must have been the noisest resturant I have been in. I guess if you eat later, you may not have as many children in. For the price, the evening meal was very good.
Breakfast was served in the same location and I cannot feel that the price being charged was a little high. Food cooked well though.

On arrival the staff were very friendly and pleasant, the room was lovely, very clean and spacious. The views out the window were lovely, we saw horses getting fed every morning. We stayed 4 nights and got different staff each nights and they were all lovely. Breakfast was fantastic with a good range. The only issue is location, it's not walkable to the metro centre, you have to get a £4 taxi, each way. Its best to go in a car if you can.

Room Tip: higher floors are quieter

Stayed here last month as a last minute booking, the hotel is well placed 2min drive from the A1 and the metro centre, staff were pleasant and the rooms were what you'd expect from a premier inn.
The only disappointment was the breakfast that was served next door in taybarns, it was well below average and at £9 it was far to expensive (I ended up going to mc Donald's in the metro centre)

Overall a pleasant stay and would highly recommend the place as a cheap and cheerful place to stay, just don't bother with breakfast.

We were told the wrong time for breakfast so missed out I had to travel to feed my daughter through no fault of our own but the staff were not bothered. Housekeeping could not even provide basics like clean mugs and tea bags When we checked in we were told hang on i am doing a survey (on PC)
The manager at Taybarns however 1o0/10 he was superb

Staff were lovely and welcoming. Room was not bad for the fee we paid, but have stayed in nicer premiere inns. The part I didn't like was the smell in the bathroom, very fusty. We were in the family room on the ground floor and the noise from the 1st floor was dreadful. Found the attached taybarn restaurant quite untidy, food in the evening was average, but thought the breakfast was fab.

A clean, cheap and friendly hotel. Nice and close to the metro centre, with lots of good places to eat and drink close by. Has a Tayburn restaurant attached which looked clean, but didn't try myself as not keen on buffet style places. Also nice and quite, as away from the main drag.

Stayed here with a large group of girls for a friends birthday! Upon arrival I was sat waiting for my friends and the recepition staff were very helpful and even allowed me to use their phone to let me find out why my friends were running late! Rooms were very clean, beds very comfy and the Taybarn restaurant with their all you can eat buffet was amazing! Highly recommend this premier inn
