“If you like shopping ...”

We have been to The MetroCentre a few times over the years on our visits to England. It continues to change and improve.

They have a colour coded system to identify different sections of the shopping mall which helps greatly in locating a specific store and your parking area. The MetroCentre is divided into main malls ..... Yellow, Red, Blue, Green and Platinum. There are departments stores, jewellery, fashion, lots of restaurants, bars, theatres, arcade area etc etc.

The Metrocentre is reported to be Europe's largest shopping mall and leisure centre with over 300 stores. It's a little daunting if walking distances is an issue for you. We were there in Oct and the mall and parking lots were very busy !!! Nevertheless if you love to shop you will enjoy a day here. If you hate crowds and navigating your way around perhaps a quainter experience would be more suited to you.

Our only issue was trying to find an information kiosk that was manned with an actual person to get some information.

“Excellent shopping centre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014 via mobile

The Metro centre is a massive shopping centre with a large variety of shops. Really like the idea of the different coloured zones that it is split into as it is easy to get lost and forget where you have already been. Only bad point was that the bus station was quite confusing and I didn't really know where I had to go to get a bus back to my hotel and there was nobody there to ask as the customer service box was empty. Will definitely be back here one day.

I like the metrocentre and it has some amazing shops but it gets really crowded and after walking round you just get drained of energy and your legs really ache

“An array of shops”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2014

My first visit to the Metro Centre. Wow! First of all it was even bigger than I imagined and car parking was free - unheard of these days! The Centre is split into coloured zones which is a great idea as its so easy to forget where you've shopped. I like the fact that the jewellery shops are all in one area and also the food quarter. We had a lovely meal at the Handmade Burger Company - delicious. Nice that the Centre wasn't at all packed - it made shopping a pleasurable experience.
