We have been to The MetroCentre a few times over the years on our visits to England. It continues to change and improve.
They have a colour coded system to identify different sections of the shopping mall which helps greatly in locating a specific store and your parking area. The MetroCentre is divided into main malls ..... Yellow, Red, Blue, Green and Platinum. There are departments stores, jewellery, fashion, lots of restaurants, bars, theatres, arcade area etc etc.
The Metrocentre is reported to be Europe's largest shopping mall and leisure centre with over 300 stores. It's a little daunting if walking distances is an issue for you. We were there in Oct and the mall and parking lots were very busy !!! Nevertheless if you love to shop you will enjoy a day here. If you hate crowds and navigating your way around perhaps a quainter experience would be more suited to you.
Our only issue was trying to find an information kiosk that was manned with an actual person to get some information.
