I can't praise this hotel enough. Everything was of an exceptional standard - from the hotel lobby when we first walked in to checking out. The pool is great, the changing rooms top quality, the rooms spacious and well decorated and not tatty in any way. And the staff are incredible. Really helpful and friendly and just brilliant. Breakfast was great - again the staff lifting it to exceptional. I'm going to seek out Marriott hotels from now on. If they're like this one I shall be well impressed.

Room Tip: We looked out onto the front which was probably the best - but i'm not sure if there is another...

I have spent 2 nights at this hotel and have stayed here before. The Staff a wonderful the service is wonderful the food as Breakfast was very good. Afternoon Tea was very good basically I struggle to fault.
I have noted what others say about food prices but they are no different to other hotels and with all that is on offer around hotel in walking distance this is not a problem.
I will be back again. What more can I say.

Room Tip: Don`t hesitate

The room was of a very high quality. The bar was over priced.Breakfast is £15.50 for a fry up + continental (difficult to justify with 40 odd restaurants+take outs within 15 minutes)

This hotel is right next to the metro centre which is a giant shopping complex that takes all day to walk around and as much money as you have.

This hotel is excellent for shopping or business use.It is also good for using as a quiet place to unwind after the cricket. As its in the middle of a giant shopping complex ,do not expect romantic walks (unless the 2 minute walk to Ikea or macdonalds is your thing)

Room Tip: Pick one close to the lift, you wont be using the stairs if your on the 5th floor

Stayed here with a party of 10. Check in was swift and friendly. Rooms were of large. Tea and coffee were placed in the room. These are a great assett. The room was clean and comfortable. The window can be half opened which was nice.
Went to the bar last night. Prices are on the high side. That aside, all staff I came across were most friendly and welcoming.

Stayed here 6 or 7 times over the past few years, come down to Newcastle from Scotland every December to do my Christmas shopping with my mum. Staff are always very friendly and helpful, everything you need is in the room. We usually have dinner when we are down and although the food is expensive it is very good and plenty to choose from on the menu. Breakfast is great lots of fresh breads and fruits along with the usual full English!
Beds are very comfortable but sometimes have difficulty sleeping due to group of girls/guys on party nights but it is Newcastle.. I don't bother as im young myself and know what its like on nights out but my mum has had to complain about the noise and we weren't offered any discount or any sort of compensation, would expect this from a travel lodge but not a Marriott.
Still we will be back this year as per :)
