We ate at Belton Park for our Christmas Dinner. While the starter was nice and the dessert was yummy the main course was horrible. There wasn't enough vegetables or gravy for a table of 6 yet the staff were not around to ask for more and when they were around they were not looking around to see who needed them. The *new* potatoes were black inside and had the eyes left of. The roast potatoes were either under cooked (verging on raw) or hard and burnt. My friend broke her tooth on one! Another friend ordered the vegetarian option (Brie and Cranberry Wellington) for her main course yet got Moroccan Vegetables. When she asked the waiter what it was and where was the Wellington he neither knew what he had served or what a Wellington was. As for the Moroccan Vegetables she was served it could only be described as *slop* and could only be eaten with a spoon. It had something that looked like seaweed floating in it and some other unidentifiable vegetables in it. She returned it uneaten and only had a few of the small amount of vegetables our table of 6 were given. I actually had to go to the bar and wait several minutes just to ask for some more gravy.
However the dessert (chocolate lumpy bumpy) was very nice.
As it was an evening do we did not use any of the other facilities so can't comment on them.
