A roaring log fire, a warm welcome, great selection of beers and food to die for. What more could you ask of a beautiful, old world village pub. The main bar is full of character with a large open fire and beamed ceiling. There are two dining rooms, both are comfortably furnished and again full of character. The food, well I ordered the halibut with scallops and a creamy seafood sauce with masses of beautifully cooked vegetables accompanying it. The other people in my party of ten ordered a variety of other dishes including a superb curry and without exception every dish was absolutely excellent. No complaints at all. Compliments to John the proprietor and chef. Many thanks for a fantastic meal.
