The Granary is located in the lovely little hamlet of Aisby, tucked away in attractive countryside about five miles from Grantham. In spite of its secluded location many local attractions including several National Trust properties, the Lincolnshire Wolds, the coast and the well-preserved historic town of Stanford are within easy reach. There are numerous well-signed walks in the immediate vicinity.
The Granary itself has been lovingly restored by the friendly owners, Guy and Hilary Leversha, and this care is evident in the quality of the furnishings and fittings. The kitchen has everything needed for a full stay and nothing has been overlooked. On arrival we were greeted by a welcome pack including a bottle of wine, milk and eggs courtesy of the family's hens! The cottage was in immaculate condition and the garden provided welcome respite from the unexpectedly warm weather. The "house book" and basket of local brochures provided a lot of local information while shelves of books, games, and even DVDs catered for a wide range of recreational needs. The cottage also has excellent Wi-Fi. Guy and Hilary came down shortly after our arrival to check that we were comfortably settled-in and had everything we needed; and despite the early hour Guy came down to say goodbye before we left.
All in all, we can safely say that this holiday rental surpassed our expectations and our only regret was that we hadn't booked for a longer stay. We won't make the same mistake on our next visit!
