“Fantastic Spacious Accommodation In Fantastic Setting”
Reviewed April 17, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

This was our our second year staying at The Pines as a large group of friends with young children. We are already booking our next stay. Accommodation is spacious and very clean. Plenty of room for everyone. All rooms are very clean, lovely crisp clean linen and towels, it is a very well appointed house. Lucy and Jay the owners are very helpful when you need a hand with anything or advice on the local area. Set in a peaceful location, only a couple of minutes walk from Grantown centre and all the local amenities. The garden is amazing, on the edge of mature Scots Pine woodland, with plenty of miles of marked trails to navigate. Loads of wildlife to keep the kids amused, deer, squirrels, birds... The pines has adventure play frames, swings etc to keep any kids amused for hours...

We spend a week end in the pine house with a groupe of 14 adults. The accomodation was excellent, the owners really friendly and helpful, the entertainment fixtures provided were excellent. It was excellent overall experience and we would love to come back next year :)
I would totally recommend it to anybody.
Thanks again

“Perfect place and perfect location for a holiday with family and friends”
Reviewed March 2, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We were a family-and-friends mixed group of 17 who had an absolutely fabulous time at the Pines House. Apart from the great location with great accessibility to all outdoor activities the house backs on to a lovely woodland and is close to Grantown's shops. The accomodation is cosy, comfortable, caters for every need and has lots of thoughtful extras from lovely toiletries through candlesticks to a garlic press! We had superb dinners in the wonderful dining room, enjoyed cooking and socialising in the spacious kitchen/snug and all slept fantastically well. Thank you Lucy and Jay!

“Wonderful winter weekend”
Reviewed February 3, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We had a fantastic weekend at the Pines House. Set in magical surroundings, perfect for walks and sledging in the woods and around the loch. The house itself is amazing, every room is beautifully furnished, comfortable, cosy and well thought out. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in and the living room and drawing room were perfect for all kinds of socialising and relaxing. The house is everything it needs to be and more, the owners truly have thought of everything.

“Lovely welcome, great house which is well equipped; with a dinning table fit for 20 curry fiends!”
Reviewed January 26, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Booked this property for my partners 40th. Lucy couldn't have been more accommodating with booking arrangements and staged payments. Upon arrival was greeted to a lovely birthday suprise on the chalkboard, biscuits and wine. Jay and Lucy came around later to tell us about the property and then left us to our own devices in this character property which has to be one of the best well-equipped self-catering properties I have rented. The property offered lots of space for kids and adults alike, being right on the speyside way and with a short distance to the Cairngorms. We had a great time.

“lovely house, lovely break”
Reviewed December 1, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We're just back from a great family get-together at The Pines. The house is gorgeous and really well-equipped with everything we needed, and more. Highlights included a playroom with loads of toys and the huge garden with trampoline, climbing frames etc. These certainly kept the 9 children in our party amused. The house is ideally situated for walks in Aganach woods and is also only a few minutes away from the town centre. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. All in all, very highly recommended.

“Perfect holiday house”
Reviewed November 29, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We stayed at The Pines earlier this month for a three night family break The house is gorgeous and was the perfect size to accommodate 17 people. We loved the large living areas and the cosy coal fires. The kitchen is very well equipped and had everything we needed to cater for a large crowd. It was good to find things like salt and pepper, olive oil, teabags and coffee already in the cupboards. Also washing up liquid, cloths etc. We've stayed in holiday houses before which did not supppy these items. We also appreciated the fresh fruit, bottle of wine and cookies on the breakfast bar. The industrial dishwasher was well used although sometimes the dishes had to be put back ìn for a second wash. The two fridges came in handy as did the plate warmer. We cooked the first night and served dinner in the dining room. It was fantastic to seat everyone around the huge table. The second night we orderd takeaway Indian and Chinese from the restaurants on the Main Street. We were disappointed with all the food and would not recommend either restaurant. The third night we had a lovely meal and really good service at the Garth Hotel.
Lucy and Jay have thought of everything to make this holiday house perfect. We loved all the luxury touches such as the high quality bed linen and towels, the nice soaps and shampoo in every bathroom. The house is idealy situated for lovely walks and only a few minutes walk from the town centre.
