“Can't Image a Better Place to Stay in the Highlands”
Reviewed October 14, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Lochan Lodge has it all; amazing views, Highland cows, pheasants, the most comfortable well equipped home, such friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable hosts. With four double bedrooms, three bathrooms, large family room, dining area, large and well equipped kitchen and complete laundry, there was plenty of room for a large family to comfortably extend itself.
Then there was the outdoors, verandah with BBQ and dining table and chairs overlooking your own little loch. We were spoilt and enjoyed every moment, especially the rugged beauty of the surrounds. I don't often take the time to write reviews but on this occasion the hosts Steph, Bill and Alex are so deserving. Thank you and cheers. The Ireland Clan.

“Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant!”
Reviewed August 18, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

My family spent out Summer holiday here; it is the most idyllic spot with breathtaking scenery and an incredible array of birds and other wildlife. The accommodation is very spacious, modern and equipped with all the items you would hope to have in your own home: Ipod/iphone dock, WiFi, great TV and a fantastic selection of films, books and games. The accommodation is also packed with surprises such as the great mattresses, BBQ, lake and of course the wonderful hosts Steph and Bill.

Everyone should have at least one holiday in the Cairngorms National Park and you can do no better than staying here!

“A slice of paradise”
Reviewed August 11, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Lochan lodge is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. It has modern facilities, comfortable beds and breathtaking views. The photos on this website really don't do it justice.

The Lodge is enveloped in stunning woodland home to rabbits and birds and cows. We spent a lot of time walking around and soaking in the stunning scenery! Within driving distance are Loch Ness, Urquhart's castle, the Isle of Skye and several fantastic distilleries. For the less adventurous, the lodge has an Xbox 360, flat-screen TV and a wealth of books and DVDs so nobody will be bored!

Steph and Bill are so lovely and helpful; they will go the extra mile (recommending hidden gems to visit, providing greaseproof paper etc) to make your stay as perfect as possible. My little boy also had the most wonderful week playing with Alex by the lake!

Lochan Lodge really is the perfect base for a holiday in the highlands. Go, you will not be disappointed.

“Wonderful place near to many other wonderful places”
Reviewed August 9, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

The house is amazing. Big rooms, breathtaking views, relaxed evenings by the fire, invites to stay and enjoy the place too, and I have to say it: incredibly comfortable mattresses.
It does have spacious bedrooms, a second separated living room ideal for the children, with big windows and views, big flat screen TV, PS Box, IPod listener, etc. Modern bathrooms too.

The house is a farm too, so my kids enjoyed watching the birds, the Highland cows, the rabbits, ducks, etc, and we all enjoyed walking around.

The owners are just lovely. Bill and Steph helped with every single thing. And we remember with pleasure Steph's homenade bread and jam. Alex his son is an amazing kind, big boy, now friend of my children.
Our house was alone and we had all the privacy, but they live nearby in the land so this help in case you need anything.

The location is perfect to explore many interesting places around, like Loch Ness and It's Castle, but specially the Caingroms natural park. My children enjoyed the funicular up the hills, horse riding, feeding the reindeers, an amazing tree zone with super zip wires, etc
Inverness, Glasgow, big cities are near by car too. Steph was of a big help to recommend every trip, providing us with all the maps and routes planning.

So thanks to the Cassells family for an amazing holiday week, and we hope to be back soon.

“Stunning views and luxury living”
Reviewed April 5, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

The views here really can't be beaten, unspoilt and peaceful, the lodge is situated perfectly for a relaxing break.

The lodge itself is very roomy, plenty of space for everyone including a second lounge area. Comfy beds and large living rooms all with beautiful views of the landscape.

A thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable weekend spent here and I would return without hesitation.

Thanks!!

Sarah

“Fabulous Highland Fling Weekend”

I went with a group of friends for a three night stay in the Cairngorms for a walking and sightseeing break. The Lodge offers very comfortable accommodation in such an amazing location in the national park.

The location means it is easy driving distances to great walks, local towns and distillery's too. The bedrooms where very comfortable and as we were quite a large group bathrooms were plentiful and there are two kitchens, which helped a lot with making the feasts for seven hungry ramblers.

Thanks to Steph, Bill and Alex for a very welcoming stay, can't wait to come and sit by the tranquillity of the loch again x Emily

(p.s a bird watchers haven too)
