Had a lovely meal here. Warm, friendly welcome from the owner and staff. Food was lovely and cooked fresh to order. Would definately visit again if ever up that neck of the woods. Prices are really readonable too.

“Locals love it - so did we”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

The exterior is unprepossessing, looking like a timber-frame coffee shop, but inside is a different story. Exceptionally friendly staff, pleasant light wood decor. Only 6 tables and half of them taken by locals, which tells its own story. Food not particularly ambitious but good ingredients, well cooked. We both had fish, which many places serve up too dry, but not here. A good selection of vegetables on the side and an exceptionally reasonable wine. A closed bill - hooray! We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

“Great food at very reasonable prices”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

Been a few times, and the food is great. Very reasonably priced and the service is attentive. Quite a small restaurant, so it is wise to phone and book.

“Plain fayre, well done, good price.”
Reviewed July 11, 2012 via mobile

Had a seafood selection tonight, with scallops with apple and bacon, followed by grilled fillet of seabass. Starter was tasty and well presented, and the bass had a simple but freshly prepared accompaniment of hand made chips and medley of veg. All ingredients very fresh, simply but well prepared.
Including my fizzy water (although the wine list appeared very good value) , I received change out of £20!
Superb!

“Excellent meal and good service”
Reviewed April 26, 2012

This is a small family run restaurant right in the centre of Dulnain Bridge which serves really good scottish food at a very reasonable price. Andrea, the daughter who runs front of house, was very welcoming and George, her father who is the chef, produced some extremely good dishes which were beautifully presented. Their website (http://www.riverside-dulnain.com) says they use mainly locally sourced food and it certainly tastes fresh. We were also impressed that the cost of wine was very reasonable compared to the usual mark-up you normally get in restaurants - and it was good wine too!

We visited on a cold, wet April night, but they have got a nice outside seated area for the summer and they have had pine marten and red squirrel visiting their garden which can be seen from the restaurant window.

I think this is a restaurant worth travelling to, since it is in easy reach of Aviemore and Grantown-on-Spey and is situated right in the middle of the Cairngorm National Park. We would certainly go again if we go back to that area. We would highly recomend you pay it a visit!
