“Well marked trails but bit boring”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

Thought the forest was a bit boring but the trails were easy to follow. If you had to kill an hour or so you could do worse.

“Always worthwhile”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

I first walked here about 65 years ago (when it was known as Angach Moor). Very different now with map boards, marked tracks of different lengths and information about wildlife which may be seen.
However, it remains a pleasant walk, full of interest and not too challenging. The woods are particularly picturesque and glimpses of the River Spey add to the enjoyment.

“Amazing”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

Watched a Capercaillie for 20 minutes from one of the public footpaths. Even passing dogs did not scare it away!

“The end of 15 miles”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

Walked through here at the end of our days walk. The woods have stunning trees, mosses and a rich plant undergrowth. We saw very little wildlife but it was busy with people and dogs so I think any capercaille must have gone to safer haunts. Paths are easy to walk on and there are route choices good for families and wheel chairs.
