“Garden Park Guest House”

I have been coming to Grantown-on-Spey now for many years and i have to say i just love the place, now i have been coming to Garden Park now since 1997 and quite simply it is my first and only choice...I love the "homely cosy feel" of the Guest House and look forward to staying here...The rooms are beautifully furnished with beds that are superior to what i have in my house.
David and Angela go out of their way to oblige and i cannot praise them enough
The breakfasts are quite simply out of this world, sometimes you find a place you like, some places you love......and i just love Grantown-on-Spey and Garden Park.

Had a very nice stay in Granton at Garden Park Guest House. Very nice & large bedroom with tea/coffee tray as well as fresh milk in fridge in the corridor. Very nice & large bathroom with shower & bath.
Lots of information on surroundings both for walks, visits & other activities both in the bedroom & in the TV room.
Very nice breakfast served in a pretty dinning room.
Easy access to craighorns park, castle and distilleries trails, loch Ness, highland coast from Inverness to Aberdeen...

We really enjoyed our stay at The Garden Park Guest House. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. There was a fridge on the landing with jugs of milk for our tea and coffee (so much nicer than the little UHT cartons), as well as room to keep a bottle of wine if we wished to. Also, there was an iron and ironing board, which saved the bother of having to ask. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. Angela was extremely pleasant and helpful, she recommended a visit to the Abernethy Highland Games which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay and very good value for money.

Angela and David are lovely............but the bedroom was VERY cramped, I banged both legs many times on the chair at the bottom of the bed - mainly because it appeared they had put an en-suite shower room in (clearly a long time ago) what was originally a fair size room - however, now with the two single beds (together), the cheap MFI 70's small wardrobe and other bits it was too full of 'stuff'. The residents lounge would be a great room to sit and relax in if it wasn't packed full of 'stuff'' again - hundreds of teddies of all sizes made it a little creepy. Breakfast was disappointing - and the dead plants and more bits of ornaments etc just made it all very cluttered....but the lovely window looked out to the garden and it could be really lovely. However, having said all that - fantastic hosts, made us and the dog feel most welcome....... it is in a great location if you have a dog - river and forest walks on the doorstep and very close to the town. Beautiful house, just very dated - the bedlinen appeared to be from the 70's - so it just all felt a little 'tired'.

The review is disappointing as we feel it does not reflect our overall level of service, value for money and standard of accommodation but more the personal tastes of the guests . Our house is Victorian and we are collectors of fine arts and teddy bears portraying a homely and friendly feel. Our visitors book shows only good comments about our freshly cooked and hearty breakfasts as well as fresh fruit salad and vegetarian options. We go out of our way to accommodate dogs and their owners as we are one of the few places who will take them.

I stayed for one night whilst walking the Speyside Way. The best thing about Garden Park is the little touches that make all the difference: proper milk for the tea and coffee in your room instead of that UHT rubbish, great coffee and proper butter at breakfast instead of little foil packets, great toiletries in the rooms (including body lotion in mine), electric blankets, comfy beds, WiFi, curtains that actually block out the light so that you can get a good nights sleep...I could go on and on. Sandra made me very welcome even with muddy boots and I could not fault any aspect of the Garden Park. Believe me I am usually very, very fussy and can pick fault with practically anywhere! Garden Park is perfectly situated for the Speyside Way and for Grantown and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a warm welcome and great value.

We always find consistency when we arrive at Garden Park Guesthouse. David and Angela are always there to greet us with smiles. There is ample off street parking. The rooms are always warm, welcoming and private! Location of the guesthouse is perfect. From the drive it is a quick 2 minute walk to the High Street or a short few minutes walk to the River Spey through the forest. Bed and breakfast means simply...a good nights sleep with a great full breakfast cooked to order in the morning. They have a great knowledge of the area and can recommend a restaurant, walking trail or event. They offer brochures for any activity you may wish to do. They will also offer to make dinner or activity reservations for you. We've been coming to the area for over 9 years and always look forward to staying with David and Angela. It is a home away from home for us; which is why we tend to have an extended stay most times. We feel very much at home at the Garden Park Guesthouse and we know you will too!

We have been to Garden Park several times now and we always leave looking forward to going back! It is such a friendly welcoming place and we are treated like friends . The breakfasts are really good and always served in a friendly manner . Both the rooms we have had have been excellent. The rooms are smart enough to be in a first class hotel but managing to combine this with a homely comfort which is hard to beat. We tend to be in by early evening due to my health issues and we findrthe rooms just right to relax in and enjoy a quiet evening or watch TV. Angela is always ready to answer questions about the area and local amenities. We would go more often if we could but although it is excellent value and we never tire of the area it is quite a drive from where we live.
There is no 'downside' at all!! Am just about to book again!
