“Lovely Weekend”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Just returned from 3 nights at Cherry Tree. Caravan was very modern, would have liked an earlier check (4pm) standard as paid to have a luxury caravan and this would have been a nice perk. Caravan has a lovely veranda which was great as the weather was fantastic. Really nice pool and fitness room. The caravan was spotless. Small park but has everything you need. Really must drive though as quite remote.

We (myself, husband & 3year old son), are just back from a 2 week break at Cherry Tree & we had an absolutely fantastic holiday! Our caravan was spotless & in very good condition (we picked a newer caravan when booking), the park itself was spotless & very well maintained, swimming pool great although too cold for outside pool, coast bar clean, good food & reasonable value, show bar clean & spacey! All staff are a credit to the park, friendly, nice & remember your name!
Close to many attractions such as Africa Alive, Thrigbgy Wildlife Gardens, pettitts animal park & many more!
Absolutely no faults, would recommend & would definitely return!!
Thanks for a holiday to remember Cherry Tree!!!!!!

Went with husband, two and one year old. Stayed in a Wroxham caravan. 5 second check in, room was ready 2.30 (ie early!) Excellent caravan , spacious, modern, clean . Modern park, friendly staff, lots to in the area. Clean , well kept , as I say staff and in fact all other residents , were extremely nice, kids entertainment was on from 6.30 to 8.30. No complaints at all. Kids loved it. I went to Pontins Camber Sands last year and by comparison this place was an example to Pontins on how to run a holiday park. It's not huge but we had a lovely weekend, would go back. Only downside was the beds...not the most comfy! (Minor issue)

Room Tip: Get a bigger caravan than you need the extra space is a blessing. We had a 6-8 berth Wroxham for two...

We have just returned from a lovely holiday at cherry tree holiday park. We called up a week before because we had two elderly people with us so we didnt want to be too far away from the entertainment and we got to choose from several free caravans which would make it easier, we decided to go for caravan 503. When we arrived (we were early arriving at 1pm) we went to reception to see if our caravan was ready which is was. We were given the directions to the caravan and told the easiest way to get there. The caravan was alot better than what we expected it was immaculate considering sometimes you expect to find dust or dirt somewhere there was none anywhere. The bedrooms were a fairly decent size and all of the beds were made up for us when we got there. The caravan has heating aswell so no chilly nights in our caravan! You can also set the timer for when you want it to come on or keep it on constantly. The matresses on the beds were so comfortable, best night sleep we'd all had in ages!
All of the staff and entertainment people were so lovely and helpful. All game for a laugh and we didnt find one we didnt like. The security were also really nice and helpful when it came to needing help in the arcades.
The swimming pool was lovely and warm, though the changing rooms could do with a massive update and the lockers cost you 20p non-refundable each time you open it up, though alot of people leave stuff to the side of the pool and there are only about 15 lockers i could see it being a challenge when it comes to half term.
The evening entertainment kept our 23 month old happy and entertained, they were all so good and remembered all of the little ones names which was lovely as if one little one got lost they would know their name and the child isnt as scared as maybe they would be with a stranger when they dont know alot of words.
They have two teams for the kids entertainment, the seagulls (even ending number caravans 0 2 4 6 8) and the lizards (odd ending number caravans 1 3 5 7 9) they have an online site aswell so after your holiday you can see what team is in the lead at your park and overall. Our little girl fell in love with lizzie the lizard and luckily we were lizards which was a bonus for her i suppose. In the daytime you have the chance to meet lizzie and sid at their daytime sessions which we took our daughter to but she was the only one so she had a personal meet and greet which she loved.
The prices at the bar are quite high with a round of 2 diet cokes a pint of guiness and a capisun coming in at £12.50 it can turn into an expensive evening if your not careful! The acts they had were also really good including a magician act and one of the entertainment people doing some singing which she was amazing at. along with puppets within a huge story book to make the little ones minds tick. The downside is the bingo for us is put at 8pm so you pump your child up with slush puppies, sweets and loads of party games and entertainment for them to have to be quiet within 5 minutes for bingo. But we did speak to a lovely lad about it and he said that they get many complains about where it is and it seems no matter where they move it to that you have people who complain.
Our grandparents only complaint was it didnt really offer them alot and they couldnt stay in the entertainment because of how loud the music and mics were it made their hearing aids echo, they tried to turn them down but it didnt make a difference.
In the arcade they have the tickets for prizes, You have to find someone so you can get your prize, but there isnt alot to choose from when you do. The lowest prize is 50 tickets and you go upto 20,000 tickets being the highest for a guitar and a portable dvd player. You have to spend out alot of money to get something small in return.
Overall, with the evening entertainment, the spotless caravan with central heating extremely friendly staff. We will be returning here again in the future for sure! already looking to book!!

Visited here before 2 years ago in April and for some reason this year the place was a bit dead, many evenings of entertainment ruined as there was no one to entertain. I felt sorry for the entertainments team as they did all they could but there just wasn't the interest. The park was quiet and has a few amenities which we used and all round it was clean and excellent although once again we encountered an ant-fest inside our caravan for the second time. The staff here are excellent and go the extra mile and they and the park setting in the countryside make Cherry Tree an excellent place to enjoy a holiday. Overall a good holiday despite the low-key evening entertainments. I would imagine that in the busier weeks i would have no complaints as it is likely to be rammed and plenty going on.

The title - as ever - says it all. We needed a base near Great Yarmouth so we could tour the villages, rivers and pubs of this lovely part of the World and a Hemsby caravan for 6 of us was perfect! We let the old folks have the double bedroom with ensuite, and we relative youngsters stayed in the two twin bedded rooms. The rooms were more than adequate for our needs and the caravan itself was warm, cosy and clean.
What really impressed us was the speed and efficiency of the maintenance people in the form of a very helpful Michael. We had reported a problem with the lights in the lounge, and before we had time to trip over each other, Michael appeared in what must be a World record time to point out some hidden switches - duh!
As there was a decent sized verandah attached, and a sunny day or two, we spent a couple of evenings sitting out, glugging wine so we didn't try the entertainment facilities, but the site was tidy and attractive and the shop had all we needed. We'll stay again at Cherry Tree.

Just got back from a short break at Cherry Tree, this is the second time we had been there. The first time we had no complains and again this time the accommodation was first class, staff friendly and helpful, the site very tidy and clean and everything maintained well. Food in restaurant was good. I was worried about using Parkdean again after a rather disappointing holiday at their site at Sandford in Dorset last summer. This has restored my faith in them though, maybe they should send the staff from Sandford to Cherry tree to show them how it's done, can't believe the difference between these two sites. So well done Cherry Tree we will be back!
