Dined in the restaurant for my partner birthday.
Excellent food and the waitress Amy helped make my partner birthday extra special with her fanatics service and great recommendations for food.
Would highly recommended this Hidden gem

We stayed here for one night after having 4 nights on a boat on the Norfolk broads. We were taken aback from the inside when we walked in. Very nicely laid out and decorated. Our rooms were ready by 2 and we were early but we satin the bar and had a drink whilst we waited. The young lady that tended to us was called Rebecca and was so friendly and extremely helpful. Our rooms were gorgeous and really clean. Very comfortable and had everything in them you would expect. We had lunch in the bar which was delicious and decided to stay for dinner too. None of us liked the look of anything on the menu for the restaurant but the staff quickly got us a different menu and asked what we would like as they could rustle it up for us. Again the staff were fantastic. Breakfast was delicious and again the lady that served us was really friendly. This hotel is quite possibly one of the nicest I have ever stayed in and the staff most definitely the friendliest and most helpful I have ever met. I do think the hotel could charge more for the rooms, if definitely pay more to stay there. We stayed in rooms 302 and 206 but didn’t take any pictures unfortunately. Definitely worth a visit.

Found ourselves in the town after a day boating on the Broads. After a bit of traipsing around in the early evening, a friendly local recommended the Star.

Our party of 6 adults and 6 kids were accommodated in the River Room and had the place to ourselves until another booking came in later.

Nice room overlooking the albeit not very pretty river. But great service from the waitress and maitre ‘d. Very attentive, friendly and thoughful - clearly well trained. Second guessed the kids’ requirements which is always a boon to hassled parents.

A sensibly small menu but still sufficiently varied. Chef did a really good job - well presented and tasty. Meals easily adapted for our gluten free adult.

And very good value for money at under £20 a head incl tip. Adults had three courses, kids had two.

Strongly recommended.

Went to Star Hotel to the 'Ladies who Lunch'. What a great experience and it will be happening again. The staff were attentive but not obtrusive. The menu was not extensive but it is changed every Monday and the food was really delicious, hot and well presented. We were lucky enough to sit overlooking the river and the whole lunchtime was delightful. The cost of a 3 course meal was £13 how good is that??
An experience which will be repeated.

WOW WOW WOW, we booked for a party of 12 as celebrating a friends 70th Birthday. The table was set and laid out with all the right cutlery, condiments etc and even had some lovely fresh Roses The food was excellent, quick , hot and and very tasty. Most of the group had not been before and everyone was well impressed, nothing was to much trouble, the staff are friendly and what ever we needed they would oblige. We have decided that we would all go again as everyone was so impressed. When it came to Bring out the cake, the staff had lite the candles and even sung Happy Birthday. The staff could not do any thing else to make it better. We don't want to forget the kitchen staff, who cooked such a Delicious meal, so well DONE everyone who made our special day a nice relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. Thank you all xx
