“Value for money”

Just come back from 5 days stay over Easter. And we had a very good stay. I visit Great Yarmouth at least twice a year, But have never stayed at the Waverley before. Our room was right above the main entrance, Which was not a problem. But if you want a early night I would ask for a room at the rear of the hotel, As the music which was on twice goes on till about 11pm. Staff were always helpful and had a lot of time for you. Our room 112 was large enough. Double bed. Free view TV. Tea and coffee. Large wardrobe and table and 2 chairs. Plus on suite bathroom. One thing I must say is check before you book to see if breakfast is included as we did not get any. Even thou we payed the same £50 per night as others staying. Over all we enjoyed our stay and will be using this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask for room away from the front of the building. Less noise

Stayed at this hotel last week [April 2014] I liked the meals but thank goodness I wasn't vegetarian as there wasn't much choice for them [baked potato with cheese for dinner only]. My room was good really for a single. It was next to the lift which is very noisy. Lovely bathroom. Not much room to move about in the bedroom [didn't need as large a bed as was there] but had everything you needed. Also there was a problem with the window. It wouldn't open and they couldn't fix it! So if you are offered Room 208 make sure they have done something about this! Staff were very nice and helpful.

Room Tip: If offered room 208, make sure the window has been fixed!

I just had a short stay but would have stayed longer and would definitely stay there again. the room I had, though a single, was big enough for a couple, clean comfortable and welcoming. The staff were pleasant and helpful, food was plentiful and tasty. In short I would definitely recommend the Waverley if staying in Great yarmouth

Just got back from a weekend away this hotel is lovely and well situated for everything staff seam like they may be new to the hotel business and at times un sure what to do but are very friendly and always happy to help meals were very nice but only got your starter and sweet served to your table the rest was a Que and get it yourself the lift is very old and has no inside door to close and I think this could be dangerous as anyone who leans on the door could trap their fingers they really need a sign up on this lift to make people aware I would stay at this hotel again we really enjoyed ourselves

Just returned from 5 days at the Waverley where all the staff were friendly.
Large clean room but sadly we overlooked backyards full of rubbish!
The restaurant was run like clockwork and all meals were generous, good quality and good value.
The manager was always available, welcoming and pleasant.
On departure he personally thanked us for visiting & waved us off!
Would recommend this hotel for a value holiday.

Room Tip: Aim for a room not overlooking the back, only advantage to that is that it is quiet.
