“Good Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2012

Nice friendly hotel, spacious modern room en suite bathroom with bath and shower, flat screen TV and a good view of the sea from bay window, could have been even better with the addition of some biscuits, drinking chocolate, and decaf coffee on the tea tray.
We were also disappointed with the buffet breakfast, there was no fruit, limited cereals, only fried eggs available and these were pre cooked and all hard.
Staff very helpful, and all areas of the hotel are clean, the lift is unique and quite an experience to use, more scary than the roller coaster :-).
Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Stayed here with my husband on a coach trip for a few days. The room was fine, recently decorated I think. The food was very good, plenty of choice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. There was even entertainment a couple of evenings.
The best thing for me was that it is 2 mintes walk from the beach and we went there every morning before breakfast just to sit and drink coffee. Lovely start to the day.

Stayed in room 117. From the website thought it looked very nice, modern and clean rooms. To our disapointment you could hardley move down side of the bed, Stains on the sheets, and the carpet was stained loads. There was no sockets for a hairdryer or to charge your phone up. There was no free wifi as stated. The staff never spoke to us and we payed on check in and for the parking as no parking facilites.
We will not be staying at the waverley again

Room Tip: Always read the reviews before you stay anywhere we learnt our lesson

Stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend for 3 nights. We just randomly picked it, didn't really know much about it but we loved it!
It's in a really good location, really close to both the town centre and the seafront, and the pier!
The room was of a really good standard, really stylish and tidy and spacious. The bed was soooo comfy. A big bathroom was attached which had a bath and a shower - really nice.
The staff were very welcoming and polite. The breakfasts were yummy, with a choice of full-english or cereals, toast....DELICIOUS coffee, tea, juice etc.
There is also a cool (scary) lift to get you to your room if you have luggage etc
This hotel seemed to be cheaper than a few others which was mainly why we booked it, really fab value for money - thankyou!

Ok... Since its launch i have used Trip Advisor for every holiday i have been on but i have never done the helpful thing and wrote a review for other people and i am so impressed i felt i could not leave the hotel without leaving my comments for others.

First off , the staff are very friendly, professional and will bend over backwards. We booked through a affiliate website and booked the largest suite (or so we thought). When we arrived we went into our room which was very nice but was not as described by the website of this hotel booking firm as it had no bath or sitting room area. I asked at the desk and it was quite clear that the website was wrong, not the hotels fault. I had only gone to advise them at reception and said i was fine with the room i was in but they wouldnt have it, they moved myself and my wife straight into the largest room. I will just say the other room which was smaller (compared to the suite) and had a shower but no bath, was also really nice.

The room, OMG !! Yep this is something else. A great big bedroom with King Size Bed, huge tv on the wall, clothes cupboard. Nice comfy chair to sit on and a table, alarm clock and some candles (nice touch) that was just the bedroom part. Then into the sitting room area with tea and coffee maker with those nice chocolate cream biscuits. A 2 seater, very comfy sofa and more seating and a nice desk for those that need to do some work on there laptop or just casually browsing the internet. Then the bathroom, again very big room with a bath that 3 people could climb into comfortably. This is one of the best rooms i have stayed in worldwide, i kid you not.

Breakfast.... Yum Yum Yum ..... Honestly that was really nice, im sat here right now recovering from it. Full English, high quality breakfast food, thick bacon, premium sausages, fried bread, tomato, beans ect ect and cerael, toast, tea coffee and fruit juice. Honestly again that was one of the best breakies ive had. Its all kept warm and covered. The dining room is all laid out nicely too. If you book here, dont miss it, you will be sorry if you do.

The hotel has been open just a year, you can see there is a little work to be done in some areas but they are very open and honest about it and really its just finishing touches that you can see they are doing. Nothing that would upset your stay at all. My only issue was the Wifi as we were in the room furthest away but having my Ipad with me so it didnt affect us.

Should you book this hotel ? If you want to be about a 1 minute walk from the seafront, stay in a quality hotel, have a comfy bed and experience one of the best breakfasts in the country.. then yes. I would rule out anyone, it great for families, couples, people on there own and for those on business. This hotel gets my thumbs up.... and im just about to go downstairs and book again for a few days in the up coming months.

Room Tip: The standard rooms are really nice, the normal suites are of a deluxe standard. And the largest suit...

Have just spend an overnight trip at the waverley hotel with two young children and stayed in the family room which consisted of two double beds - the room was very very large and much bigger then all the other family rooms we have stayed in, the room was very nicely furnished and very very spacious - and had Tea and coffee etc within the room and a nice shower etc and decent ameneties, we requested an extra blanket and an iron/ironing board and these were promptly bought up to us by the friendly staff, the breakfast was very nice to and a bonus to be included in the price. Location wise this is a very good hotel and near the beach etc and the main strip and local shops are not fair away and sainsburys is quite near if staying for longer. Parking is a bit of an issue but you can park a bit further down about a 5 minute walk if you cant park right near the hotel and the manager did give us a ticket pass which lasted for 24 hours so say you are a visitor of the hotel. All in all we all enjoyed our stay and thanks to the staff for a pleasent visit
