Owner description: The Pleasure Beach with its mixture of high-octane rides and traditional attractions sits at the top of Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile dominating the seafront skyline with its famous Skydrop. Spread over nine acres, the Pleasure Beach offers huge family fun, full-throttle white knuckle rides to exhilarate and thrill, water attractions to catch your breath and fun rides to keep the children happy for hours. Our roller coaster has been the star attraction since 1932 and is still a crowd puller today. More than 1.1 million visitors enjoyed the Pleasure Beach experience in 2013, confirming our place in the top 10 UK free entry amusement parks. And even more attractions, rides and innovations are on their way.

Not a great place for the adults, especially in the cold drizzle, but the kids absolutely adored all the rides and went on them over and over again. Wrist bands a bit pricey at £19 each, but unlike somewhere like Chessington or Thorpe Park, we didn't have to pay for those not using the rides. The wrist bands are the same price in the summer when the park is open longer so there should have been an autumn concession, by I guess they took advantage of it being half term.

Don't eat there though - the food is vile.

Yes it is dated, but speaking to one of the staff, I understand there is meant to be a big £35m refurbishment of the whole port and pleasure beach area of Great Yarmouth which has been delayed due to the economic situation at present. If this goes ahead, it should be brilliant.

Despite the best of british weather, the family spent a fun filled few hours in the Pleasure Beach. As long as you dont expect the polished finish of Alton Towers or the like, there's something here for everyone, and its good value too. The wooden roller coaster was just amazing! We will be back again next year!

The pleasure beach opened later than advertised the day we were in Great Yarmouth, but it had been raining a lot and they were playing it by ear a bit. We finally headed to it in the afternoon and it was great for our 3 year old to be able to go on a lot of the rides on her own. There is a good variety of rides to go on for all the family to enjoy.as well as some arcades.

We have been going to Gt Yarmouth for years and it's such a shame to see the rides run down. I'm not sure if it was because it was end of season or not but it was in need of tlc. Rides expensive and staff leave there posts without notice so you can't actually get on the rides you want.

Great for all ages. I've gone every year for as long as I can remember (bit of a family tradition). There are wonderful classic rides such as the Waltzer and one of the biggest wooden Roller-coasters in Europe (never think it won't scare you, everybody I've ever taken on it said it won't be scary, it'll be rubbish and came off wanting to go on again and saying it was brilliant!). There are modern favourites such as the crazy wave. I've been here every year and never been disappointed. Even the amusements are better than on the main strip (they seem to pay out more). Even if you just go on the roller coaster, its well worth a visit!
