If you're looking for something a bit different to do, head to Yesterday's World in Great Yarmouth. From recreations of blacksmiths, carpenters etc with a video tour to a train station, book shop, air-raid shelter, statue of liberty and a free ride on a full-size traditional carousel. This half term they have a spooky halloween hunt with free sweets and a prize draw. Great whatever the weather!

“Fabulous museum and area shop!!”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

We absolutely loved this little museum! Very well presented and full of information and great exhibits, super for small children and adults alike. The tour end with a fabulous old carousel too!
There is a super little tea shop too. Th scone jam and creams are beautiful- HUGE scones! Yum!!
The little shop is worth a look round too, some useful replicas of ol newspapers, ration books, etc.
Make a visit!
There are money off vouchers in the Great Yarmouth booklets and Tescos vouchers accepted. Wheelchair friendly too.

Whilst in Great Yarmouth, we decided to visit Yesterdays World. Although not cheap, it was a very interesting place to visit. A couple of my friends, who lived through the war years, were delighted at some of the memorabilia on show. Could easily spend half a day looking at the way of life from years ago. I would imagine that this could be a "marmite" moment - you are either going to love it or hate it. Personally, I loved it.

“Cream teas in the Victorian Tea Room”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

You don't necessarily have to visit Yesterday's World, you can just come in and use the Victorian Tea Room if you prefer. When you use the Victorian Tea Room you can pick up a voucher giving you one pound off of entry to Yesterday's World. Unfortunately our camera wasn't working very well that day and the photos are deceptively dark, but hopefully they give the feel of the Victorian Tea Room, and an idea of what is provided when you have a cream tea here.

Not very large inside and the displays were a bit amateurish. Only took about an hour to do the whole tour.
Some quite modern pieces thrown in to make it look full.
