We visited Yestredays World on a damp Monday morning whilst on holiday. Starting in Victorian times we firtst visited Queen Victoria's room and sat and listened and watched film footage of different aspect of life. At the time of our visit we were the only two people in the museum and one of the guides gave us so much information about the museum and its collection as well as telling us about his own collection. It was nice to hear such dedication from such a young person. In fact all the staff were very nice.
All the staff dress in period costume and are on hand to give any information you require. There are so many pieces in the displays and as we went around we kept saying "I can remember my Gran etc having one of those" or " I had one of those when I was little". The visit ends with a ride on a Victorian carousel which is included in the admission price which at £6.95 we thought was good value. (We used Tesco tokens which made the visit cheaper).
Our visit lasted for about an hour or so and when we came out we had coffee in the Victorian coffee shop and bought some Christmas decorations from the shop.
