“Heaven amongst fish and chips!”

Having previously visited both the cafe and the restaurant next door I knew this would be the perfect place to host my mums 50th birthday afternoon tea.adter emailing jan the owner I was pleased with instant communication and on the day had a table reserved with added decorations.i was also allowed to put up balloons and a banner and play happy birthday as my mum arrived.the other diners were friendly and happy for me to do this.id chosen the afternoon tea x5 which was lots of cute sandwiches and plenty of cake! we were never without teapots and coffee despite the fact that the cafe was quite busy and it still felt special for my mum.the waitress even took a photo for us.as usual the decor is stunning shabby chic and vintage which is a beautiful change from the nice but predictable cafes up and down yarmouth front.im so pleased the cafe is doing well and can't wait to go back and try the ploughmans.how anyone could complain about the prices I don't understand if you want extra cheap and cheerful go elsewhere although this isn't expensive.i paid £50 for x5 afternoon teas and made sure I tipped as worth every penny.thankyou hooray Henry's for giving my mum a 50th birthday tea she will always remember!xxx

“tearoom with a dfference”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

I visited this tearoom on 19th of June with 2 friends and we received a very nice welcome and we had the morning brunch which was very nice, with plenty of tea and coffee and generous supply of toast. The decor was very nice and apt with a seaside theme throughout .A bed and breakfast is also run from the establishment, when we asked if we could see the rooms we were taken to view a double which was very nice and reasonably priced £80 a night for 2 with breakfast.we will definitely return for lunch .It is a welcome addition to Gt Yarmouth

“Lovely tearoom”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

We visited here during end of may half term whilst on our holiday.firstly I must state that we are very fussy, and hard to please. We visited twice because out first visit was so enjoyable. Staff were lovely and friendly to us and our children (4year old and 9 month old) they have a lovely atmosphere, gorgeous decor and a lovely menu with plenty on offer. We thought prices were cheap but we are from down south and everything expensive here! We tried ploughmans lunches and bagels and toast and sandwiches between our visits and all the food was lovely to a good high standard and I didn't find everything was from a packet as a previous review stated. It's just a shame we live so far away as we would be visiting frequently if we lived close by.
The B and B rooms they offer also look lovely and we wstay in those.

“Different and decent value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2013

Arrived on a Sunday morning at 10am, just as the cafe opened. Good service, decent food and coffee, sat outside in the sun. Would visit again.

“Great place, slightly let down by the lack of homecooking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013 via mobile

Looks great, decor well done ESP when compared with what else is on offer in Yarmouth but afternoon tea should be slices of home cooked cakes and sandwiches - Too much came from a packet. Service was good though. Just a few improvements to the food and it would be excellent.
