We saw this restaurant on Tripadvisor and decided to visit. From the outside it doesn't do what you will get inside justice. The inside is quirky and the ambience very good.
You are get olives and lovely warm bread for free which tastes lovely. The accompanying butter is also very good. Our soup starters were tasty and hot. My wife's chicken stroganoff, and my fishermans pie were not only full of flavour and piping hot but also extremely good portions. Together with one beer and a glass of wine the bill came to £31.00 which in London would have been double that unless we'd used Toptable or a Tastecard. If we lived in Great Yarmouth we would probably visit this place at least twice a month. The service was also not rushed, done in a professional manner and with enough time to rest between courses. Five star all round !

Went to this restaurant for lunch today as we happened to be passing and thought we would try somewhere new. Well we are glad we did. Although it looks like nothing from the outside it is really very pleasant inside and the service and food is great. Wonderful proper coffee and a selection of fantastic cakes, a great find we will certainly visit again.
Obviously a lot of people already knew about this place as it was very busy at lunchtime!

This restaurant was recommended to us by the staff at the Nelson Museum just up the road. They said it was gorgeous and by god it was. You could easily miss it as the exterior doesn't lend itself well to passing trade but don't let that put you off. Walk through the small corridor into the restaurant and you will have one of the best meals you have ever had. It was mid-afternoon when we went in (I think it closes at 4pm) and quietish but it didn't matter, the food was better than advertised, very tasty, well presented and the staff too were very pleasant and well deserving of the larger than normal tip we left! Behind the restaurant is a really good shop too, worth a look! If we are ever in the area again we would definitely eat here again and I cannot recommend it highly enough to other visitors. Look carefully for it as you could easily miss it and, as I say, don't be put off by the outside appearance, it really is fabulous.

We returned to the Quayside for Valentines night and had an excellent meal. It was accompanied by a superb jazz duo, the music just the right volume to create the right atmosphere. We will be back for further evenings in the coming months.
