We spent an interesting 1 1/2 hours in the museum before enjoying coffee and cake in the attractive adjoining cafe

This is a short walk from the sea front but worth it, very interesting experience, showing how the herring industry was important to Gt.Yarmouth and also the history of the seaside town. The museum set out over 2 floors but there is a lift for those who cannot manage the stairs, plenty of toilets. Lovely little cafe just outside with good selection of food and drinks.

An absolute delightful museum - so many hands on activities for the children - and adults. I was fascinated by the history of the herring girls as I used to visit Yarmouth a lot as a child and it brought back so many memories. So much to see - I need to have a return visit. Although we didn’t eat at the cafe attached to the museum the food looked really good. Great staff at the museum - friendly and very informative.

Went here with my wife as it was something she wanted to do and to be honest I went because she wanted to go. Well I am glad I did. The museum isn't a bombardment of information wrote down in front of you, the knowledge is passed to you in small and informative chunks with videos and presentations to support it. The museum is well laid out and comfortable however my slight cristism is it could do with more places to sit.

Staff were friendly and welcoming.
