just got back after after a three night stay and cant praise this one highly enough may and mick are the warmest people you could wish to meet. as soon as we walked in the door we felt at ease and were given tea and coffee before being shown to our very comfortable homely room.

i would recommend the full english breakfast as mick cooks it to perfection.
without a doubt this is the place to stay in great yarmouth if you want good value and comfort

I have just returned from a 4 night stay in this lovely B&B with my Mother and 2 children. After a long drive there, we were welcomed by Mick and shown to our room. The family room is huge and very spacious with lots of room to move freely and storage ie large double wardrobe and plenty of drawers. Compared to other 'family' rooms we have stayed in, this was amazing. The fridge is an added bonus and is a good size.
Breakfast was perfect. Mick certainly cooks a great full English, and he is the only other person who can cook soft boiled eggs as good as my Mother..!!!
my only criticism (and this is very minor and didnt spoil a thing for us) is that in the servicing of the bedroom, the milk was not replenished, so we couldnt have as many cups of tea/coffee as we wanted and also there were no biscuits... we received one small bottle of water and one small bottle of orangeade, between 2 adults and 2 children, so had to share half a bottle each. A bottle each wouldnt have gone a miss, but as i say, this is a minor thing.
on the whole, we would definately recommend this B&B.. the location is a good walk from the town centre/attractions, but in a nice quiet location.
Mick and May are a lovely couple and we will definately be back next year...!!

Room Tip: if you are after a good family room, you cannot go wrong with this B&B, the room is fantastic i...

We had a lovely stay at Sandy Acres Guest House, on arrival we were greeted by Mick, who was extremely friendly and welcoming despite us arriving later than expected. We found they were very accepting for younger visitors like ourselves. We chose to not have breakfast allowing us to sleep in, so we can't comment on that aspect. Our room was excellent and was equipped with every essential. The fridge was very handy due to it being bigger than the average mini fridge. Smaller touches such as cotton buds created a homely atmosphere. Furthermore the Tv was on a movable arm mounted on the wall which meant it could be angled down to be watched easily in bed. Location wise the guest house is a leisurely stroll to the main promenade, with a newsagents and a pub a few doors down. Everything made up the ingredients for a good time in Great Yarmouth.

Room Tip: Room 3 is very nice

We had a two night stay in a very good double en-suite room with everything you would need.
The en-suite shower room was very nice and a good size. We had a good choice lovely breakfast in a friendly atmosphere. Parking is in the road outside but is very easy and just outside the Pay Zone, which is a bonus. We left the car where it was and walked to the main attractions each time.
We would definately use Sandy Acres again when we go back to Great Yarmouth.

We wanted a double room, but all the doubles were occupied. The owners had a family room available and were happy to allow us to have this at the double rate. We were greeted by Mick with a cup of tea and shown to our room. The room was extremely spacious and pretty much everything had been thought of! There was a fridge in the room, fans which were perfect as the weather was scorching, tea and coffee making facilities and a very comfortable bed too!
Mick and May were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was more than ample. I tend to guage English breakfasts on sausage quality .... None of your cheap pork sausages here!
We would definitely stay again.

Mick and May were most welcoming hosts and provided a homely atmosphere from the very start of our weekend experience. We arrived slightly earlier than advised and found our hosts coming up the path behind us having been out themselves. We were immediately made welcome and after a welcoming cup of beverage shown to our room. Although on the top floor it was well appointed, clean and quite large enough with masses of storage space, we took a double bedded room. May and Mick were at all times most helpful and gave informed advice about the area. Breakfast was more than adequate and delicious with plenty of options for all tastes, extra tea/coffee was offerred so that a good start to the day was provided. Sandy Acres is located a few minutes walking distance from the sea front and approximately 20 minutes from the town centre. There is a pub very close but was not to our tastes. There are several local convenience stores/fast food outlets and ample parking spaces in local roads. Overall a very pleasing and relaxed stay, thanks to Mick and May.
